BARRY SONNENFELD PROJECTS (Various) - Emmy-nominated director Barry Sonnenfeld ("Pushing Daisies") has linked up a trio of projects at the major broadcast networks through his overall deal at Sony Pictures Television. At FOX, he's booked "The Pretenders," a domestic take on the Argentinean drama about a team of con artists solving ordinary people's problems. Jorge Zamacona ("Wanted") is writing the pilot to the project, which is being licensed from Argentine network Telefe. Over at ABC, he's landed "The Nelsons," a drama that's being billed as a live-action take on the animated feature "The Incredibles." Peter Steinfeld and Dee Steinfeld are penning the hour, which is being co-produced with Sarah Timberman's studio-based 25C Productions. And finally over at CBS, there's "My World, and Welcome to It," a comedy from writer Jay Kogen ("Frasier") based on humorist James Thurber's collection of essays about being a dad in the 1960s. Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Mitch Hurwitz are also executive producing the half-hour via their studio-based Tantamount banner. NBC previously brought said work to the small screen in 1969-70 where it earned Emmys for best comedy series and star William Windom. All three will be executive produced and directed by Sonnenfeld should his feature schedule permit.

THE UNUSUALS (ABC) - Bob DeLaurentis ("The O.C.") has signed on to serve as the newcomer's showrunner/executive producer. The ensemble dramedy, about an offbeat New York police precinct, stars Amber Tamblyn, Jeremy Renner, Terry Kinney, Harold Perrineau, Adam Goldberg, Joshua Close, Kai Lennox and Monique Gabriela Curnen. Noah Hawley created the Sony Pictures Television-based hour and will executive produce alongside DeLaurentis and Peter Tolan. Stephen Hopkins helmed the pilot.
