AGENT X (TNT; W: William Blake Herron; D: TBA) - John Shea ("Gossip Girl") is the latest to board the drama pilot, about Natalie Maccabee (Sharon Stone), the newly elected Vice President of the United States who is tasked with protecting the Constitution in times of great crisis with the aid of her Chief Steward and a secret operative designated "Agent X" (Jeff Hephner). He's set as President Thomas Eckhart, "a Southern politician and a salt of the earth man who gives Natalie the key to her new mansion and introduces her to Malcolm Millar, and later chairs the emergency Cabinet meeting after Missy Stanton is kidnapped." Mike Colter also stars. (THR.com)


BAD JUDGE (NBC/Universal; W: Adam McKay, Chad Kultgen & Chris Henchy; D: TBA) - Mather Zickel ("Masters of Sex") has scored a role on the comedy pilot, about Rebecca Wright (Kate Walsh), a hard-living, sexually unapologetic woman who plays with the law, despite the fact she also happens to be a judge in the criminal court system. He'll play Gary Boyd, "a psychiatrist who has an on again-off again relationship with Rebecca, often is called into her courtroom as an expert witness - and he often winds up necking furiously with her in chambers." John Ducey also stars. (Deadline.com)


BLANCO (Cinemax/FTS; W: Mark Rosner; D: Juan Carlos Fresnadillo) - Franka Potente, Amaury Nolasco, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Sebastian Arcelus, Audrey Esparza, Erik LaRay Harvey and Alex Hernandez will round out the cast of the drama pilot, about Ruben (Shiloh Fernandez), an uptown gangster who uses his status as a confidential informant to turn the tables on law enforcement and build his criminal empire. Potente will play Leslee, Blanco's girlfriend; with Nolasco as Jesus, Blanco's brother; Rodriguez as NYPD Detective Stephanie Gomez; Arcelus as Blanco's lawyer Andy Silver; Esparza as Blanco's brother's girlfriend Veronica; Harvey as NYPD Detective Mike LeBeau; and Hernandez as Blanco's associate Nando. CLEMENTINE (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Dean Georgaris; D: TBA) - David Strathairn ("Alphas") is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about Clementine Ross (yet to be cast), "a habitual criminal who digs into the mystery of her origins after she becomes the target of a group of zealots who fear she possesses latent supernatural abilities that she will one day harness for either profound good or monstrous evil." He'll play her father Henry Ross, whose current wealthy and refined status beguiles the decades he previously spent as a gambler, hustler and charlatan. (Deadline.com)


THE FLASH (The CW/Warner Bros.; W: Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti; D: David Nutter) - Candice Patton and Carlos Valdes are the latest to board the drama pilot, a small screen take on the DC Comics hero Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), a Central City assistant police forensics investigator-turned-superhero. She'll play Iris West, "Allen's fast-talking, quick-witted best friend who is also the daughter of Detective West (Jesse L. Martin), who serves as a surrogate father to Barry." Valdes then is set as Cisco Ramon, "a mechanical engineering genius and the youngest member of the team of scientists at STAR Labs." Danielle Panabaker and Rick Cosnett also star. (Deadline.com)


THE MESSENGERS (The CW/CTS; W: Eoghan O'Donnell; D: TBA) - Eoghan O'Donnell's drama - about "a group of unconnected strangers who seemingly die from the energy pulse, only to awaken to learn that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse" - has scored a pilot order from the netlet. Basil Iwanyk, Kent Kubena, Ava Jamshidi and Ted Humphrey are executive producing the CBS Television Studios-based hour with O'Donnell serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)


MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Jeff Lowell ; D: TBA) - Jake McDorman ("Shameless") has booked the male lead on the pilot, a romantic comedy which "exposes the unfiltered internal monologues of a young couple, Peter (McDorman) and Dana (Analeigh Tipton), embarking on a new relationship." He'll play said fellow in the half-hour. (Deadline.com)


ODYSSEY (NBC/Universal; W: Adam Armus, Kay Foster & Peter Horton; D: Peter Horton) - Elena Kampouris (Labor Day) has been cast in the drama pilot, about three people - a stranded soldier, Odelle Ballard (Anna Friel); a disillusioned corporate attorney, Peter Drucker (yet to be cast); and a disrespected political activist, Harrison Wolcott (Jake Robinson) - who are pulled into a shocking international military conspiracy. She'll play Ellen ("pretty, smart, confident"), the teenage daughter of the aforementioned attorney. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje also stars as Frank Majors, a fierce officer for a private security firm. QUEEN OF EVERYTHING (FOX, New!) - Ali Waller ("American Dad") is developing an animated workplace comedy at the network set "in a modern fairytale world and centers on an evil queen who comes into power and realizes that running a Queendom isn't easy when you have no people skills and everyone hates you." Zooey Deschanel and Sophia Rossi also serve as executive producers on the 20th Century Fox Television-based half-hour via their Miss Hawkins banner. (Deadline.com)


SCORPION (A.K.A. UNTITLED NICK SANTORA PROJECT) (CBS/CTS; W: Nick Santora; D: Justin Lin) - The drama - from writer Nick Santora and director Justin Lin - is heading to pilot at the Eye. Said hour - inspired by the true story of Walter O'Brien, "a real-life Professor X who recruited and trained other geniuses from around the world to work together to save lives and solve problems from casino security to Military Drone warfare" - revolves around "an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses who form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age." Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci, Heather Kadin and Scooter Braun are also on board to executive produce for CBS Television Studios with Danny Rose and Danielle Woodrow serving as co-executive producers. SEA OF FIRE (ABC/Sony; W: Jenna Bans; D: Allison Liddi-Brown) - Lilli Birdsell ("The Walking Dead") is the latest addition to the drama pilot, which chronicles the fallout from three teenage girls starring in a pornographic film, which tears their families apart and leads to a disappearance, a murder and host of other secrets boiling under the surface in a small town. She's set as Laura Lee Kesowich, the fragile, nervous wife of Sheriff Marty Kesowich (Jack Davenport) whose seemingly perfect daughter Merel (Isabelle Cornish) appears in the aforementioned film. SECRETS & LIES (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Barbie Kligman; D: Charles McDougall) - Ryan Phillippe is in final negotiations to star in the drama pilot, about a family man who finds the body of a young boy and quickly becomes the prime murder suspect. He'll play said fellow, Ben Garner, who "has no choice but to try to find the real killer as his marriage, his kids, his reputation, and his sanity are all at stake." Martin Henderson toplines the original Australian format, due to premiere later this year. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED KZK PROJECT (Netflix/Sony; W: Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman & Glenn Kessler; D: TBA) - Linda Cardellini ("Mad Men") is set to star opposite Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn in the upcoming drama, about a family of adult siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home. She'll play "the youngest of four siblings, Meg, a skilled attorney who's also warm, caring and fun but, beneath her buoyant exterior, she is a complex woman with secrets." Filming is expected to start in late March in the Florida Keys. (Deadline.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Netflix has renewed "House of Cards" for a third season (@Netflix); Judy Davis has bowed out of "24: Live Another Day" due to "personal family matters" as producers plan to recast her role as "a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist" (Deadline.com); Lauren Cohan will lend her voice to "Archer" as "a European socialite who is married to a brutal Central American dictator (Fred Armisen)" (EW.com); Eddie Cahill and Karla Crome have joined the cast of "Under the Dome" as Sam, "a former EMT and brother-in-law to notoriously difficult Big Jim (Dean Norris)" and "a smart and tough school teacher who is also a former army brat," respectively (EW.com); and Alexandra Daddario is bound for "New Girl" as "a hot girl who moves into the gang's building with her roommate, and subsequently/naturally catches the attention of the fellas in the loft" (TVLine.com).
