BABYLON FIELDS (NBC/20th; W: Gerald Cuesta & Michael Atkinson; D: Michael Cuesta) - Kyle Schmid ("Copper") has been cast in the drama pilot, in which the dead are resurrected and try to resume their former lives. He's set as Thomas Wunch, "who works for the CDC as a scientist and is Janine's (Meagan Good) first love." Skeet Ulrich also stars. (Deadline.com)


HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Peter Nowalk; D: Michael Offer) - Liza Weil ("Scandal") has been cast in the drama pilot, about a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor, Annalise Dewitt (Viola Davis), who become entangled in a murder plot that will rock their entire university and change the course of their lives. She'll play Bonnie Winterbottom, one of Annalise's associates who's a mama bear type, warm and sweet and smiley. The ensemble also includes Aja Naomi King, Alfred Enoch, Charlie Weber, Jack Falahee, Karla Souza and Matt McGorry. (Deadline.com)


IDENTITY (The CW/CBS; W: Corinne Brinkerhoff; D: Gary Fleder) - Irish actor Stephen Hagan is the latest to board the drama pilot, about Mia Lawrence (Ahna O'Reilly), a young New Yorker who is recruited by the CIA to infiltrate her recently discovered biological family, a wealthy and powerful dynasty in Texas suspected of having criminal alliances across the globe. He'll play Jasper McCall, the mysterious, magnetic best friend of Mia's newfound half-brother Davis (Matt Barr). (Deadline.com)


JANE THE VIRGIN (The CW/CTS; W: Jennie Snyder Urman; D: Brad Silberling) - Gina Rodriguez (Filly Brown) has booked the title role while Brad Silberling ("Reign") is set to direct the drama pilot, about a hardworking religious girl who, due to a series of outrageous events, is accidentally artificially inseminated. She'll play said woman, Jane Gloriana Garcia, in the project, which is based on the Venezuelan telenovela of the same name. (Deadline.com)


MISSION CONTROL (NBC/Universal; W: David Hornsby; D: TBA) - Tommy Dewey ("The Mindy Project") and Julie Meyer have both landed roles on the comedy pilot, which examines what happens when Mary (Krysten Ritter), a strong woman, butts heads with Tom, a macho astronaut, in the race to land on the moon in 1962. He'll play the aforementioned Tom, "a former test pilot who quickly bonds with the gagarinmale crew and immediately bumps heads with Mary"; with Meyer as Carol Ann, "the earnest, upbeat secretary working for on-site administrator Bob Korman." Jonathan Slavin, Malcolm Barrett and Michael Rosenbaum also star. (Deadline.com)


MORE TIME WITH FAMILY (CBS/20th; W: Cathy Yuspa & Josh Goldsmith & Tom Papa; D: James Burrows) - Emmy-winner Joe Pantoliano ("The Sopranos") is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about a husband and father (Tom Papa) making a career change to spend more time with his wife (Alyson Hannigan) and kids. He'll on board as Stan, Tom's brash, opinionated, old-school Italian father who owns the local diner. (Deadline.com)


OLD SOUL (NBC/Universal; W: Amy Poehler, Jon Fener & Josh Bycel; D: David Wain) - Emmy-winner Ellen Burstyn ("Political Animals") has signed onto the comedy pilot, about Nadia (Natasha Lyonne), a young woman who's trying to find herself, but in the meantime she's working as the aide to a group of elderly people. She'll play aunt Eileen, "an earthy lesbian with a New Age bent who has recently survived cancer." Also starring are Fred Willard, Greta Lee, Nick Thune and Rita Moreno. (Deadline.com)


SECRETS & LIES (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Barbie Kligman; D: Charles McDougall) - Indiana Evans, Charles Dutton, Steven Brand and Kate Ashfield have all landed roles on the drama pilot, about Ben Garner (Ryan Phillippe), a family man who finds the body of a young boy and quickly becomes the prime murder suspect. Evans will play Natalie, Ben and Christy's (KaDee Strickland) too sexy for her own good teenage daughter. Dutton then is set as Kevin Haynes, a nosy 20-year veteran of Chelsea Bay; with Brand and Ashfield as Dr. Joseph Turner and Vanessa Turner, owners of the neighborhood's fanciest home. Belle Shouse, Clifton Collins, Jr., Juliette Lewis and Natalie Martinez also star. (Deadline.com)


SUPERNATURAL: TRIBES (The CW/Warner Bros.; W: Andrew Dabb; D: Robert Singer) - Danielle Savre ("Heroes") and Stephen Martines ("The Vampire Diaries") are the latest cast in the proposed spin-off, about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly to humans run the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by Ennis Roth (Lucien Laviscount), a newly minted Hunter who's trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural. She'll play Margo Hayden, "the acting head of the leading shapeshifter family, an ex-punk rocker-turned-corporate professional who feels threatened only by the return of her prodigal brother David (Nathaniel Buzolic) into the family"; while he's set as Freddie Costa, "a world-weary Chicago cop who serves as a mentor to Ennis but also is secretly on the payroll of one of the powerful monster families." Sean Faris also stars. (Deadline.com)
