GALYNTINE (AMC; W: Jason Cahill; D: Greg Nicotero) - Steven Brand is the latest to be cast in the drama pilot, which takes place at a time after a cataclysmic technology-induced disaster has resulted in a new society that has eschewed any form of technology. He'll play Britt, "Haven's (Catherine Dent) husband. He is Essyn and Aethys' father, a once formidable hunter who's now a political figure in the colony." Alex Russell, Charlotte D'Ambroise and Peter Fonda co-star. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED DEBORAH SCHOENEMAN PROJECT (E!, New!) - Deborah Schoeneman has set up a potential drama at the network about "a young woman who has created a wildly successful (and controversial) app to rate/review men. Offline, the woman is struggling to find love." The project, from Warner Horizon Television, is based on her New York Times article, "What's He Really Like? Check the Lulu App." Offspring Entertainment's Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot will executive produce alongside Schoeneman with Alexandra Chong, one of the founders of the Lulu App, as a consulting producer. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED ETHAN REIFF/CYRUS VORIS PROJECT (Spike TV, New!) - Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff ("Legends") have sold a new drama project to the cable channel. Billed as "an hourlong political thriller," said effort comes from Kapital Entertainment with the company's Aaron Kaplan executive producing alongside said duo. Additionally, the network has entered a 3-for-1 agreement with Kapital to develop three unscripted projects, one of which is guaranteed to go to pilot. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Tony winner Dan Fogler has joined the cast of ABC's "Secret & Lies," where'll take over from Clifton Collins, Jr. as Dave, "a faded musician who can't quite get his act together" (Deadline.com); Mike Ostrowski has inked a two-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television where he'll join the studio's "The Blacklist" as a co-executive producer (Deadline.com); RuPaul Charles will visit ABC Family's "Mystery Girls" as "one of the hottest fashion designers in the world" (THR.com); and Sarah Chalke is bound for FOX's "Backstrom" as Amy Gazanian, "the ex-fiancée of Rainn Wilson's titular detective" (TVLine.com).
