COMMANDO CRASH (Disney XD, New!) - The cable channel has ordered a pilot for a "Crash & Bernstein" spin-off which "picks up with Crash after he has been sent away to Oak Shield Military Academy, a military school with a stark division between the Alphas, who aspire to learn the good ways of an Oak Shield soldier, and the Clunks, a group of out-casted cadets who are there to mend their propensity for trouble-making. Crash rallies the discouraged Clunks to push their limits and stand up against the long-standing favoritism shown toward the Alphas." Tim Lagasse will reprise his role as puppet master to Crash with Adam Dorfman, Cameron Ocasio and Armaan Juneja "as Crash's fellow Clunks Sterling, Hunter and Z, respectively; Nicholas Stargel as all-star Alpha cadet Duchowski; and Megan Goodman as Kit, an unlikely ally to the Clunks." Victor Gonzalez is directing from a script by Eric Friedman with Jim Armogida and Steve Armogida also executive producing. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - FOX has formally reduced the final season of "Glee" from 24 to 13 episodes, which will run consecutively in midseason (Deadline.com); Lucy Griffiths has exited NBC's "Constantine" as producers plan to cast a new female lead, Zed, "a foil for the show's title character who becomes his right-hand woman" (THR.com); Cinemax has commissioned a second 10-episode season for "The Knick" nearly a month before its premiere, while the fourth and final season of "Strike Back" has been delayed until sometime in 2015 (Deadline.com, TVLine.com); Ben Bradlee, Jr.'s book "The Kid: The Immortal Life of Ted Williams" is being eyed as a mini-series from Atmosphere Entertainment and Mandalay Sports Media (Deadline.com); and Mark-Paul Gosselaar will guest on "CSI" as twin brothers, one of which is "an unrepentant murderer," the other "a pillar of the community who insists on his brother's innocence" (EW.com).
