FLIGHT ATTENDANT, THE (HBO Max) - Colin Woodell is the latest addition to the Kaley Cuoco-led drama as Buckley, "an out of work actor and whisky connoisseur, whose boozy charm & go with the flow attitude is very attractive to Cassie." (Deadline.com)

LISEY'S STORY (Apple TV+) - Clive Owen is set to star opposite Julianne Moore in Stephen King's eight-hour limited series for the streaming service. He'll play Scott Landon, Lisey's (Moore) husband. Robertson will play Rachel, "the nanny employed by the Richardsons so that Elena (Reese Withersppon) can continue to work at the local Shaker Heights newspaper"; with Polaha and Austin as "reporters covering the contentious custody hearing between the white McCullough family and their adopted baby's biological mother, Bebe Chow (Lu Huang)"; and Basis as Principal Peters, "who runs East Shaker High School and oversees the rebellious antics of the youngest and most troublesome Richardson child." (Variety.com)
LITTLE MERMAID LIVE!, THE (ABC) - Amber Riley has been cast as the emcee of the hybrid musical event. She joins the previously announced cast Auli'i Cravalho (Ariel), Queen Latifah (Ursula), Shaggy (Sebastian), Graham Phillips (Prince Eric) and John Stamos (Chef Louis). (Deadline.com)
MANIAC COP (HBO, New!) - Nicolas Winding Refn and John Hyams have sold a TV series reimagining of William Lustig's 1988 cult classic film franchise to the pay channel. The project "is told through a kaleidoscope of characters, from cop to common criminal. A killer in uniform has uncaged mayhem upon the streets. Paranoia leads to social disorder as a city wrestles with the mystery of the exterminator in blue - is he mere mortal, or a supernatural force?" Both will direct and executive produce the project for byNWR Originals alongside Nick Hall, Lene Borglum, Frederic Fiore, Alex Gayner, Efe Cakarel and William Lustig. (Deadline.com)
NINTH HOUSE (Amazon, New!) - Leigh Bardugo is looking to bring her just released novel - "set at an alternate Yale, Bardugo's real-life alma mater, where the secret societies guard dangerous, magical secrets and ghosts haunt the campus" - to the small screen on the streaming service. She'll write and executive produce the adaptation for Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
ROOKIE, THE (ABC) - Alan Tudyk will guest on the Nathan Fillion-led drama as Ellroy Basso, "a bioremediation specialist who schools Nolan on the art of crime scene cleaning." (TVLine.com)
UNITED STATES OF AL, THE (CBS, New!) - Chuck Lorre, David Goetsch, Maria Ferrari and Reza Aslan are all set to team for a multi-camera comedy at the Eye about "the friendship between Riley, a Marine combat veteran struggling to readjust to civilian life in Ohio, and Awalmir (Al), the Afghan interpreter who served with his unit and has just arrived to start a new life in America." Goetsch and Ferrari are penning the half-hour, which has a pilot production commitment, for the Warner Bros. Television-based Chuck Lorre Productions. BoomGen Studios' Mahyad Tousi will executive produce alongside the aforementioned quartet. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JEN KLEIN PROJECT (A.K.A. THE TRIBE) (FOX) - Jen Klein has sold a potential drama to the network about "four female FBI agents in the Manhattan field office inspired by journalist and author Doug Stanton's interviews of women in law enforcement." 20th Century Fox Television and FOX Entertainment are both behind the hour - which has a penalty attached - with Klein, Stanton, Todd Harthan and Thruline Entertainment's Ron West and Chris Henze executive producing. The news marks the second incarnation of the project by the network with Monica Macer spearheading the previous take last year. (Deadline.com)
WILDFIRE (NBC, New!) - Hilary Winston has booked a new drama at the Peacock in which "when a devastating wildfire hits the idyllic community of Whispering Bells, Calif., some are spared, others are not. The real danger, however, lies in the small town's secrets smoldering just below the surface." She'll write and executive produce for Sony Pictures Television, home to her overall deal.
