LIFETIME ANNOUNCES AIRDATES FOR "MOMMY MEANEST" STARRING LISA RINNA, BRIANA SKYE AND DELILAH HAMLIN DEBUTING MAY 11 & "THE BAD GUARDIAN" STARRING MELISSA JOAN HART AND LA LA ANTHONY DEBUTING MAY 18

Los Angeles, CA (April 11, 2024) - Lifetime announces airdates for May movies beginning with Mommy Meanest debuting May 11th at 8pm ET/PT. Lisa Rinna executive produces and stars along side Briana Skye and daughter, Delilah Hamlin - marking the first time the mother and daughter have appeared in a movie together. Inspired by actual events, the movie tells the shocking story of a teenage girl with a history of emotional trauma who is relentlessly cyberbullied, only to discover the culprit behind the horrific texts is her very own mother. The Bad Guardian debuts the following week on May 18th at 8pm ET/PT and stars Melissa Joan Hart and La La Anthony. The film is inspired by countless true stories of individuals who have been put in the care of a guardian by the courts and raises the question - are these caretakers helpful or harmful?

MOMMY MEANEST - MAY 11TH AT 8PM ET/PT

Divorced mother Madelyn (Lisa Rinna) and her daughter Mia (Briana Skye) have always had a tight bond. But when Mia starts spending more time with her new boyfriend and is on the verge of leaving for college, Madelyn is panicked by her emerging independence. When Mia starts to receive a barrage of degrading texts, as a protective mother, Madelyn is determined to find out who is harassing her daughter and will do anything to help her, bringing them closer together again. As the hundreds of texts become more threatening, Mia begins to wonder if her tormentor is someone closer than she could have ever imagined. Delilah Hamlin appears in the movie as Mia's friend Summer.

Mommy Meanest is produced for Lifetime by Stalking Productions in association with Johnson Production Group. Lisa Rinna and Stacy Mandelberg are executive producers. Produced by Navid Soofi. Greg Beeman directs from a script written by Gregg McBride.

THE BAD GUARDIAN - MAY 18TH AT 8PM ET/PT

When Leigh's (Melissa Joan Hart) father Jason (Eric Pierpoint) suffers a fall while she's out of town, the courts assign Jason a guardian, Janet (La La Anthony). At first Janet seems to be a big help to Jason, but things quickly take a terrible turn. Janet is legally in charge of every aspect of Jason's life, and doesn't waste any time placing him in a nursing home, auctioning off his house, all worldly possessions, and using the excuse that the proceeds are needed for his care. As Leigh continues to challenge Janet's efforts, the guardian ultimately uses her power to prevent the family from visiting. In Janet's care, Jason's health deteriorates, to the point that he needs a life saving treatment which Janet decides is too expensive. As the whistleblowers around Jason meet untimely ends, Leigh finds the strength to take down the guardian and the corrupt system that supports her.

The Bad Guardian is produced by Allegheny Image Factory with Jeffrey Tinnell and Robert Tinnell serving as Producers. Elizabeth Stephen Executive Produces and Claudia Myers directs from a script by Ashley Gable.
