CBS Wins in Viewers for the Sixth Time in Seven Weeks This Summer

CBS WINS IN VIEWERS FOR THE SIXTH TIME IN SEVEN WEEKS THIS SUMMER

The Premieres of All Three New Summer Series - "Greatest American Dog," "Flashpoint" and "Big Brother" - Win Their Respective Time Periods in Viewers and Key Demos

"Swingtown" Posts Double Digit Percentage Increases Over Last Week CBS Has Eight of the Top 10 Scripted Programs of the Week

CBS placed first in viewers for the sixth time in seven weeks this summer led by the premieres of three new series - GREATEST AMERICAN DOG, FLASHPOINT and BIG BROTHER - all of which won their respective time periods in all key measures, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending July 13, week 42 of the 2007-2008 television year.

Additionally, CBS's scripted series continued to post strong ratings while SWINGTOWN delivered double digit percentage increases over last week's performance.

For the week in viewers: CBS (6.88m), FOX (5.84m), ABC (5.52m) and NBC (5.51m). Summer-to-date in viewers, CBS (6.93m) leads FOX (6.18m), NBC (6.10m) and ABC (5.68m).

For the week in households: CBS (4.6/08), ABC (3.7/07), NBC (3.6/06) and FOX (3.6/07). Summer-to-date in households, CBS (4.7/08) is +21% ahead of both NBC and FOX (3.9/07, each) and +27% ahead of ABC (3.7/07).

For the week in key demographics: CBS was second in adults 25-54 (2.2/06, -0.1 behind FOX) and averaged a 1.6/05 in adults 18-49.

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? GREATEST AMERICAN DOG (P) premiered with a time period win in households (6.2/12), viewers (9.53m), adults 25-54 (2.8/09) and was tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.1/08, with FOX). This is CBS's best delivery in this time period in both viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since May 8, 2008 (SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA).

? FLASHPOINT (P) won its time period in households (5.3/10), viewers (8.13m), adults 25-54 (2.6/08) and adults 18-49 (1.9/06). FLASHPOINT was the night's top rated program in households, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and the #1 program of the night in viewers. This was CBS's best delivery in the time slot in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since May 16, 2008 (NUMB3RS finale).

? BIG BROTHER 10 SUNDAY (P) premiered with a 4.0/07, 6.13m viewers, 2.7/08 in adults 25-54 and 2.1/07 in adults 18-49. CBS placed first from 8:00-9:00 PM in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Compared to last year's BIG BROTHER SUNDAY premiere on July 8, 2008, CBS was up +5% in households (from 3.8/07), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/07), even in adults 18-49 and added +280,000 viewers (from 5.85m, +5%).

? SWINGTOWN (3.8/07, 5.28m) was tied for first in households (with ABC), second in adults 25-54 (2.0/06) and adults 18-49 (1.7/05). SWINGTOWN was up +19% in households (from 3.2/06), +18% in adults 25-54 (from 1.7/05), +31% in adults 18-49 (from 1.3/05) and added +770,000 viewers (from 4.51m) compared to last week.
