truTV announced today a series of greenlights that proved the Turner-owned network is really going all in on comedic programming and breaking into new formats. It has ordered additional seasons of two breakout original programs Adam Ruins Everything and The Carbonaro Effect, as well as two of its freshman series - Greatest Ever and You Can Do Better. truTV has also picked up first seasons of two new series, Talk Show the Game Show and Chris Webber's Full Court Pranks.

Adam Ruins Everything: In a 16-episode season two order, Adam Conover will continue his comically inventive yet unrelentingly serious quest to reveal the hidden truths behind everything you know and love in Adam Ruins Everything. The series has been a breakout hit with season one delivering an average of 839,000 total viewers per episode season-to-date and earning a top 10 ranking among all ad-supported cable networks in its timeslot among most key demos. Plus, the recent hour-long Adam Ruins Everything Election Special introduced a new format to the franchise, blending commentary, presentation, stand up and sketch performed live, which resonated with audiences, earning the telecast a top 10 ranking in its timeslot among key demos. For the uninitiated, check out these clips of Adam ruining lots of things you hold dear. Created by Conover, the series is produced by Big Breakfast with Conover, Sam Reich, Spencer Griffin, Jon Cohen and Jon Wolf serving as executive producers. New episodes of air Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on truTV, with season two slated to debut in summer 2017.

The Carbonaro Effect: This popular series starring magician by trade but trickster at heart, Michael Carbonaro will return for a spellbinding third season. With tricks that can only be seen to be believed -- seriously, have you seen the one where he convinces a woman a meteor hatches into a crab which then turns into a cat? -- The Carbonaro Effect has been a fan-favorite series for truTV with an average of 917,000 total viewers tuning in each week during its latest run of episodes. The third season, which is currently in production in Chicago, will contain 17 half-hour episodes plus two original specials and is set to debut on truTV in early 2017. The series is produced by Fields Entertainment, with Simon Fields and Carbonaro serving as executive producers.

Freshman Series Greenlights: Two of truTV's popular freshman series - Greatest Ever and You Can Do Better - have received additional orders as part of today's greenlight announcement. The fast-paced, informative, and fun pop-culture comedy countdown show Greatest Ever, featuring comedian Amanda Seales and produced by Meetinghouse Productions, has received a 10-episode season two greenlight. Produced by Redtail Media, You Can Do Better - with hosts Matthew Latkiewicz and Abbi Crutchfield doling out all those real-life skills you're expected to know but no one ever taught you - was given a 13 half-hour episode season one backorder. Both series will premiere on truTV in spring 2017.

Talk Show the Game Show: Comedian Guy Branum (The Mindy Project, Chelsea Lately) brings his distinct point of view to truTV with the new series greenlight of Talk Show the Game Show, a hilarious mashup of two beloved television formats that pits comedians and celebrities against each other for the title of "Best Guest of the Night." Based off of Branum's popular live comedy show, in each episode, celebrity guests become contestants as they compete in various talk show-inspired challenges and are judged by a comedic panel who awards points and roasts their performances. truTV has ordered 16 half-hour episodes of the series, which is produced by Push It Productions with Wanda Sykes, Page Hurwitz and Branum serving as executive producers. It will be filmed in Los Angeles and premiere on the network in spring 2017.

Chris Webber's Full Court Pranks: Sports fans, you've been warned. truTV announced the greenlight of an eight-episode first season of Chris Webber's Full Court Pranks, a new hidden-camera series that features some of the nation's biggest athletes and sports celebrities playing elaborate -- but good-natured -- pranks on their most adoring fans. Hosted by Webber, and set to debut on the network in spring 2017, the half-hour series is produced by Propagate with Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, Kevin Healey, David Spade and Webber serving as executive producers.

New Projects in Development: In addition to these recent greenlights, truTV has a number of projects currently in development, including an untitled scripted project from Austin Martinez Comedy, the New York-based duo of Molly Austin and Shamikah Martinez, whose popular music videos are regularly featured in the network's original series, Rachel Dratch's Late Night Snack. Also in development is Greenhouse (working title), an animated scripted series created and written by Martin Starr and Matt Bush that explores the complicated relationships that exist within one family-owned marijuana shop in Seattle, Wash. Produced by Titmouse with Starr, Bush, Chris Prynoski and Shannon Prynoski serving as executive producers, the half-hour series marks truTV's first scripted animated project in development.

And while we have you, truTV also recently premiered its new brand campaign, which features most of these aforementioned funny people plus a new tagline that cements the network's comedic roots: Funny because it's tru. Check out more info on that campaign here.
