BACHELOR, THE: WINTER GAMES (ABC) - With the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics this summer, the Alphabet has pulled the plug on a "summer" edition of the series. (Deadline.com)
BEWARE THAT GIRL (Quibi, New!) - J.T. Billings has sold a teen drama to the network which "follows two teen girls with shady, mysterious pasts as they take part in a cat-and-mouse competition of manipulative mind games while attending an elite Manhattan school for privileged teens." The project is based on the book of the same name by Teresa Toten, who will serve as a consulting producer. Ace Entertainment's Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman will executive produce alongside Billings with Paul Kim as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
GENIUS: ARETHA (NGC) - The cable channel has pushed the anthology's third season from May 25 due to production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Said the network: "Production on National Geographic's limited series Genius: Aretha (from Fox 21 Television Studios and Imagine Television Studios) remains suspended and it has become clear that the series will not be completed in time for our previously announced Memorial Day airdate. We look forward to resuming work as soon as is possible and safe, and at that time will announce a new premiere date for later this year." (Deadline.com)
GOD'S ASSISTANT, EMILY (Quibi, New!) - Steve Leff has sold an animated comedy to the streaming service which "follows the trials and tribulations of Emily, an assistant to a blundering boss who happens to be God. The series will focus on Emily's frantic struggles to ensure that her buffoonish boss doesn't make our human lives miserable down here, and Emily and her co-workers' lives up there." ShadowMachine is producing. (Variety.com)
GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Co-stars Nicholas Gonzalez and Jasika Nicole won't return for the show's fourth season. The former was written out during tonight's season finale while the latter has been missing in action since episode 16. (TVLine.com)
HOLLAND PARK (Quibi, New!) - Kate Brooke has booked a potential drama at the network about "a young American woman who comes to the wealthy titular neighborhood to nanny for a family, only to be swept up in a high-stakes kidnapping." Artis Pictures' Kate Croft will executive produce alongside Brooke, who will pen the script from an idea by Caroline O'Meara. (Variety.com)
OCTOBER FACTION/V-WARS (Netflix) - The streaming service has canceled both IDW Entertainment-produced series after one season each. (THR.com)
PEACHES (Quibi, New!) - Lauriel Marger has set up a dark comedy at the streaming service which "tells the story of a group of young women in a rehab center and their fight for and against each other's sanity." Character 7's Stephen Garrett and Michele Wolkoff will also executive produce with David Katsman as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
PERFECTLY LEGAL (Netflix, New!) - Sue Perkins is set to front a travel show for the streaming service in which "the broadcaster, actress and writer will journey through Latin America." Filming has taken place on the series, with stops in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Rumpus Media is producing. (Deadline.com)
