MASQUERADE BALL (FOX, New!) - The network has ordered a pilot for a one-hour dating competition series: "In Masquerade Ball, there is no swiping or liking, rather singles must rely on their own wit and charm. Because, in this world, it's who you are and not what you look like that really matters. It's all about chemistry, body language and conversation. The centerpiece of every episode is the decadent Masquerade Ball, where our singles have just a few fleeting moments on the dance floor to impress. Can they make these brief conversations count in their efforts to find the perfect partner and achieve that fairytale happy-ever-after?" Claire O'Donohoe and ZnakTV's Natalka Znak are the executive producers for FOX Entertainment. (Deadline.com)

Suárez plays Lettie Sandoval, "the matriarch of the Sandoval family, a wealthy vineyard-owning family in the Sonoma Valley. Lettie will do anything to keep her family, with all its fraying allegiances, intact. She is proud of the fortune the Sandovals have built, but the arrival of a figure from Lettie's past soon causes her to question whether the cost of achieving the American Dream is too high." And Aguilera is Mateo Sandoval, "the hardworking, highly capable general manager of the Heritage Vineyard, but as the stepson to patriarch Joe Sandoval (John Ortiz), he has never felt fully accepted by the wealthy, vineyard-owning Sandoval family. Mateo finds himself at a crossroads when a young immigrant who reminds him of his roots arrives to work in the Sandoval household." (Deadline.com)

Fortunately, he's met a great girl, Ashley, and it seems like things might finally be improving. But then Ashley vanishes. Mickey follows Ashley's trail into a seedy underworld that reveals that Ashley isn't who she claimed to be. And neither was Mickey's father. Soon Mickey learns about a conspiracy so shocking that it leaves him questioning everything about the life he thought he knew." Coben and Erik Barmack will also executive produce. (Variety.com)
