[via press release from CBS]

"SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA -- THE MAYA EMPIRE" FINALE TO BE BROADCAST ON A SPECIAL NIGHT -- SUNDAY, DEC. 11

The Sunday Night Finale Will Be Followed By A Live One Hour Reunion Show From Los Angeles Featuring The Castaways Together For The First Time Since Being In Guatemala

SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA -- THE MAYA EMPIRE's finale will be broadcast on a special night, Sunday, Dec. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Immediately following, Jeff Probst will host a live reunion show (10:00-11:00, ET, tape delayed PT) from Television City in Los Angeles.

SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA -- THE MAYA EMPIRE began with 18 castaways, including a surprising twist when two former castaways, Stephenie LaGrossa and Bobby Jon Drinkard (from the previous season, SURVIVOR: PALAU), emerged from atop a Maya ruin to join the other 16 in the competition. Amid the ancient Maya ruins and ceremonial sites (some as many as 2,000 years old) located in the northern area of Guatemala, the castaways are enduring excruciating triple-digit heat, crocodile infested waters, relentless mosquitoes and terrifying sounds of the howler monkeys as they attempt to "Outwit, Outplay and Outlast" in hopes of winning the $1 million prize and title of "Ultimate Survivor."

SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA remains a Top 10 program in viewers (No. 7), adults 18-49 (No. 8) and adults 25-54 (No. 7). This installment has won its time period every week this season in viewers (17.54m), adults 18-49 (6.2.17), adults 25-54 (7.5/19) and adults 18-34 (4.3/14).

SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA -- THE MAYA EMPIRE is produced by SEG, Inc. Mark Burnett and Tom Shelly are the executive producers.
