The CBS App Adds "Survivor" Synced Second-Screen Experience and Offers Fans Full Episodes for Catch-Up Viewing

CBS.com's "Survivor After Show" Returns with Host Parvati Shallow, Winner of "Survivor: Micronesia"

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 18, 2013 - SURVIVOR fans will have even more ways to indulge in their favorite reality series when SURVIVOR: BLOOD VS. WATER premieres Wednesday, Sept. 18 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. This season, fans will be able to dive deeper into every episode using the CBS App for iOS's new SURVIVOR synced second-screen experience, catch up on full episodes of SURVIVOR on the CBS App, and tune in for a new season of CBS.com's SURVIVOR AFTER SHOW with host SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA winner Parvati Shallow.

Starting with the premiere episode of SURVIVOR: BLOOD VS. WATER, fans will be able to sync the CBS App for iOS with the show, whether watching live, on-demand, or via DVR, to access the second-screen content. Programmed by the show's producers to bring fans an enhanced, interactive viewing experience, the SURVIVOR second-screen features are tailored to each new episode and will offer details on the castaways, behind-the-scenes information on the challenges, along with photos, exclusive videos, location details, polls, quizzes and the ability to easily follow and join the social conversation around the show.

"Our goal is to bring SURVIVOR fans even closer to the game this season," said Rob Gelick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Platforms, Entertainment at CBS Interactive. "With the SURVIVOR synced second-screen experience and the return of the SURVIVOR AFTER SHOW, we're giving fans the opportunity to dive deeper into the strategies the castaways will use to try to outwit, outplay and outlast one another."

SURVIVOR AFTER SHOW, returning on Thursday, Sept. 26, is a weekly half-hour series available on CBS.com on-demand and hosted by SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA winner and fan-favorite Parvati Shallow. SURVIVOR AFTER SHOW will feature exclusive interviews, a look at the current season, game strategy conversations, and more.

Fans will also be able to catch-up on full episodes on the CBS App for iOS eight days after initial broadcast and next-day on CBS.com where they will also be able to utilize CBS.com's CBS Sync video player to access the second-screen experience while watching on-demand online.

Twenty castaways will compete on SURVIVOR when the Emmy Award-winning series returns. This "Blood vs. Water" edition of will feature former players competing with their relatives who all have the same ultimate goal: to outwit, outplay and outlast and ultimately be crowned Sole Survivor. The show is hosted by Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst.
