ADVERSARIES (NBC, New!) - Archie Panjabi is attached to star in a potential series at the Peacock about "a successful LA attorney who leaves her comfortable, coastal bubble to practice law in America's heartland, her home state of Wisconsin." Alex Berger is penning the hour, which has a put pilot commitment, with Quinn's House's Martin Gero also executive producing for Warner Bros. TV. Panjabi will also receive a producer credit. BLACK-ISH (ABC) - Recently named showrunner co-Kenny Smith has signed a three-year overall deal with producer ABC Studios. The pact covers his duties on the series as well as any future development. (Deadline.com)
CATFISH: THE TV SHOW (MTV) - Co-host Max Joseph is bowing out of the series after seven seasons. His final episode is scheduled to air on Wednesday, August 22. (Deadline.com)
CONTROVERSY (FOX) - Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein have signed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV, home to their Vendetta Productions banner for the past two years. Said duo were behind the 2017 FOX pilot. (Deadline.com)
LA'S FINEST (Charter) - Executive producers Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier have signed a two-year overall deal with Sony Pictures TV, home to their upcoming "Bad Boys" spin-off series. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Mark Tallman has scored a recurring role on the upcoming season as Gavin Riley, "the chief of detectives who's on his way to being governor one day and isn't afraid to step on toes. He's looking to make his presence felt and name known." (Deadline.com)
NOWHERE GIRLS (Amazon, New!) - Writers Kieran and Michele Mulroney are set to team with director Catherine Hardwicke for a small screen take on Amy Reed's YA novel, in which "three misfits come together to avenge the rape of a fellow classmate and in the process trigger a change in the misogynist culture at their high school transforming the lives of everyone around them in this searing and timely story." Margot Robbie, Brett Hedblom, Josey McNamara and Tom Ackerley are also on board to executive produce for LuckyChap Entertainment, Management 360 and Media Rights Capital. (THR.com)
PANIC (Amazon) - Leigh Janiak has signed on to direct and executive produce the pilot, which "centers on a forgotten rural town where every year the graduating seniors risk their lives in an illegal, high-stakes game to win life-changing money - and a chance to escape." (Deadline.com)
REPRISAL (Hulu) - Mena Massoud and Rodrigo Santoro are both set to star opposite Abigail Spencer in the "hyper-kinetic revenge tale" drama pilot. Massoud will play Ethan Hart, "a young man determined to undo his mistakes in life, Ethan finds himself the rookie member of The 3 River Phoenixes, a gang-within-a-gang tasked with keeping The Banished Brawlers' lucrative operations running smoothly." Santoro then is Joel Kelly, "a longtime member [of] The Banished Brawlers, who finds himself rising to the level of de facto leader." (Deadline.com, THR.com)
SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Michael McGrady and Ruffin Prentiss will both recur on the show's sophomore run as Commanding Officer Harrington, "a confident and skilled mentor to members of Bravo team"; and Summer Kairos, "the team's new EOD (Explosives Ordinance Disposal) tech," respectively. (Deadline.com)
WILL & GRACE (NBC) - David Schwimmer will recur on the upcoming season as Grace's (Debra Messing) new love interest, the network told reporters today. NBC likewise confirmed visits from Chelsea Handler, Alec Baldwin and Mary McCormack.
