LATELY (ABC, New!) - Larry Wilmore is attached to star in a new comedy at the Alphabet described as "a behind-the-scenes look at the upstairs-downstairs dynamics of the people who work at a late-night talk show." Wilmore will likewise write and executive produce alongside Tamara Gregory of their Universal Television-based Wilmore Films. (Deadline.com)
LIONESS (Paramount+) - Michael Kelly will recur on Taylor Sheridan's upcoming espionage series as CIA Deputy Director Byron Westfield. No other character details were given. (THR.com)
MY LOVER MY KILLER (Netflix) - The streaming service has commissioned a second season of its British true crime series. (Deadline.com)
SIGN HERE (Amazon, New!) - Claudia Lux is looking to bring her debut novel to the streamer as a TV series, "a darkly humorous, utterly gripping debut novel about a guy who works in Hell (literally). Peyote Trip has a pretty good gig in the deals department on the fifth floor of Hell. Sure, none of the pens work, the coffee machine has been out of order for a century and the only drink on offer is Jägermeister, but it's still Hell and after waiting a millennium, he comes up with a plan that might just change his life (and death) forever." Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins of Wells Street Films are board to executive produce the project via their newly extended overall deal with Amazon Studios. Lux will pen the script and co-executive produce. (THR.com)
