Universal City, CA. and New York, NY - September 15, 2005 - NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's new daytime series "Martha" debuted to solid ratings in its first three days in national syndication, scoring the second best daytime syndicated series launch of the decade.

With a three-day average of 2.3/8 metered market household rating/share, "Martha" had a +35% rating increase over the year ago time period (September 2004), and a +44% rating increase over the May 2005 sweep. Since its premiere, "Martha" has improved on its overall lead-in by +15% in rating and +14% in share.

"Martha" is delivering impressive ratings in many of America's top markets, including on WNBC-TV New York, where its three-day average is #1 in its time period with Women 25-54 and is tied for #1 in Women 18-49.

Other "Martha" major market highlights include:

- On WMAQ-TV Chicago, "Martha's" has averaged a 2.3HH rating, improving its year ago time period by 53%.

- On WCVB-TV Boston, "Martha" has averaged a 2.4HH rating, improving its year ago time period by 140%.

- On WXYZ-TV Detroit, "Martha" has averaged a 4.6HH rating, improving its year ago time period by 24%.

- On KARE-TV Minneapolis, "Martha" has averaged a 3.2HH rating, improving its year ago time period by 167%.

- On WEWS-TV Cleveland, "Martha" has averaged a 3.4HH rating, improving its year ago time period by 31%.
