ABC took second place during the week of May 29, 2006 among Men 18-49 (1.8/6-tie), Men 18-34 (1.5/5) and Kids 2-11 (1.0/4).

Rankings: ABC Sports� telecast of the Detroit-Miami NBA Playoff game on Monday ranked among the Top 10 TV programs for the week in Adults 18-49 (No. 9). The post-season NBA basketball game also placed high among men, ranking as the No. 1 TV program during the week in Men 18-49 and Men 25-54 and No. 2 in Men 18-34. ABC�s first-ever broadcast of the �Scripps National Spelling Bee� gained broad exposure in its competitive Thursday 8:00-10:00 p.m. time period, drawing an average audience of 8.5 million viewers, with 14.1 million viewers tuning in during its final few minutes. The �2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee� placed among the Top 20 TV programs of the week with Women 18-34 (No. 18) and Teens 12-17 (No. 18), while finishing among the Top 10 broadcast shows in Kids 2-11 (No. 7).

Monday

ABC Sports� broadcast of the NBA Playoffs game between the Detroit Pistons and the Miami Heat (including pre-game coverage) made ABC the No. 1 Network Monday night among Adults 18-34 (3.1/10) and across all key men demographics: Men 18-34 (3.8/13), Men 18-49 (4.1/12) and Men 25-54 (4.5/12).

� ABC was up by 1.4 million viewers (7.9 million vs. 6.5 million) and by 24% among Adults 18-49 (3.1/9 vs. 2.5/7) compared to the same night last year (5/30/05), when the Network also aired the NBA Playoffs.

Thursday

With strong turnouts for the �2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee� and ABC News� �Primetime,� ABC took second place to CBS on Thursday night among Total Viewers (8.2 million), outpacing NBC (4.9 million) and Fox (8.0 million). The Network also took second place on the evening among Adults 18-34 (2.1/7), Teens 12-17 (1.3/5) and Kids 2-11 (1.3/6).

� Compared to the same night a year ago, ABC�s primetime delivery (8.2 million & 2.5/7) improved by 1.8 million viewers and by 19% in Adults 18-49 (6/2/05 = 6.4 million viewers and 2.1/6 in Adults 18-49).

�2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee� (8:00-10:11 p.m.)

Building audience steadily during each half-hour of its telecast, ABC�s first-ever primetime broadcast of the �Scripps National Spelling Bee� attracted an average audience of 8.5 million viewers to earn second place, outdrawing NBC (4.7 million) and Fox (8.0 million) from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Additionally, the �Bee� took second place in the time period with Teens 12-17 (1.4/6) and Kids 2-11 (1.6/6). Katharine �Kerry� Close, a 13-year-old speller from Spring Lake, NJ, won the �2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee� Thursday night. She was named the National Spelling Bee Champion in the 20th round after correctly spelling the word �ursprache.� Kerry is the first female champion since 1999.

� The �2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee� improved the time period for ABC by 2.3 million viewers (8.5 million vs. 6.2 million) and 25% in Adults 18-49 (2.5/7 vs. 2.0/6) over its performance a year ago in the slot (6/2/05). With the �National Spelling Bee,� ABC drew its largest audience in the time period in 10 weeks � since 3/23/06. Excluding only the NBA Championships and NFL Football, the �Bee� produced ABC�s biggest audience in the time period during a summer frame (outside of the TV Season) in more than 4 years � since 9/6/01.

� Steadily gaining audience throughout its broadcast, the �National Spelling Bee� grew by 7.3 million viewers (6.8 million to 14.1 million) and 161% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6 to 4.7/13) from its first half-hour to its final 11 minutes.

�Primetime� (10:11-11:00 p.m.)

Featuring Diane Sawyer�s look at the crisis of the foster care system and at ways children can be saved, ABC News� �Primetime� won the 10 o�clock hour among Adults 18-34 (2.1/7) and Women 18-34 (3.0/9).

� �Primetime� drew its largest audience (7.1 million) in 8 weeks � since 4/6/06.

Friday

ABC placed second on Friday night in both Total Viewers (5.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.7/6 � tied).

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

A repeat telecast of �America�s Funniest Home Videos� attracted 6.0 million viewers and a 1.7 rating, 6 share among Adults 18-49, ranking No. 1 in its time period among young adults. The video-clip show also ranked No. 1 in its hour among Men 18-49 (1.5/6 � tied) and Kids 2-11 (1.3/5 � tied).

�20/20� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC News� �20/20� ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (2.0/7) for the second consecutive week.

Sunday

ABC�s all-repeat lineup led Sunday night among Adults 18-49 (2.4/7). ABC has won the night in the key young adult sales demographic for 18 of the past 19 Sundays.

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

During the opening hour of primetime, a rebroadcast �America�s Funniest Home Videos� won its time slot among Adults 18-49 (1.9/7) and Adults 18-34 (1.5/6).

�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

An encore airing of ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� took the top spot in the 9 o�clock hour across each of the key women demographics: Women 18-34 (2.6/7), Women 18-49 (3.1/8) and Women 25-54 (3.3/8 � tied).

�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

A repeat of ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� took the top spot in the final hour of primetime across each of the key adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (2.4/7), Adults 18-49 (2.8/8) and Adults 25-54 (3.1/8).
