ON THURSDAY, 'THE OFFICE' IS THE #2 SHOW OF THE NIGHT IN ADULTS 18-49, BEHIND ONLY 'GREY'S ANATOMY'

'PARKS AND RECREATION' SCORES A SEASON HIGH IN ADULTS 18-49

'COMMUNITY' GROWS 10 PERCENT IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS VERSUS ITS PREVIOUS ORIGINAL TELECAST, RANKING #1 IN ITS SLOT IN MEN 18-34 AND #2 OR TIED FOR #2 AMONG THE MAJOR NETWORKS IN ADULTS 18-49 AND OTHER MEASURES

WEDNESDAY'S 'MERCY' DELIVERS FOUR-WEEK HIGHS IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS AND MONDAY'S 'HEROES' HITS THREE-WEEK HIGHS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - February 9, 2010 - Paced by "The Biggest Loser" and "The Office," both of which ranked among the top 20 programs of the week in adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 1.5 rating, 4 share in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall for the week of February 1-7, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Primetime averages for the week of February 1-7 in adults 18-49 were CBS (8.5/22), Fox (3.2/8), ABC (2.5/7), NBC (1.5/4) and CW (0.9/2). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (26.2 million), Fox (9.1 million), ABC (7.0 million), NBC (4.7 million) and CW (1.9 million).

NBC highlights for the week of February 1-7:

* On Monday, "Heroes" hit a three-week high in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, gaining 5 percent in 18-49 versus the prior week.

* On Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser: Couples" aired this week from 9-11 p.m. ET and weighed in with a 3.7/9 in adults 18-49 and 9.5 million viewers overall. In its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Loser" ranked #2 among the major networks in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 - ahead of CBS's "The Good Wife" and behind the season premiere of ABC's "Lost." In the 9-10 p.m. hour, "Biggest Loser" outweighed CBS's "NCIS: LA" in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

* On Wednesday, "Mercy" sewed up its top 18-49 and total-viewer results in four weeks

* On Thursday, "Parks and Recreation" hit a season high in adults 18-49 and attracted its biggest overall audience since December 10. In the time period, "Parks" ranked #1 among the major networks in men 18-34 and #2 in adults 18-34 and men 18-49.

* "Community" on Thursday was up 10 percent in both adults 18-49 and total viewers versus its last first-run telecast. "Community" ranked #1 among the major networks in men 18-34 and #2 or tied for #2 in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

* "The Office" was the #2 show on television Thursday night in adults 18-49, behind only "Grey's Anatomy." In its highly competitive time period, "The Office" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos - men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 - topping ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Fringe" in those measures.

* Additionally on Thursday, "30 Rock" scored its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since December 10, ranking #1 among the major networks in its tough time period in men 18-34 and men 18-49 and #2 in adults 18-34 and women 18-34.

* On Saturday, "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" locked up its biggest overall viewership for a Saturday telecast since November 21 and its highest 18-49 rating on a Saturday since January 2.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of February 1-7:

On Monday, February 1 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Chuck" averaged a 2.4 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers overall, in a time slot that included competition from Fox's "House," ABC's "The Bachelor" and CBS's comedies. "Chuck" tied for #2 among the major networks in the hour in men 18-34. Compared to NBC's average in the time period last season, "Chuck" was up 9 percent in 18-49 rating (2.4 vs. 2.2, live plus same day) and 5 percent in total viewers (6.7 million vs. 6.4 million).

Monday from 9-10:01 p.m. ET, "Heroes" (2.0/5 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) scored its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in three weeks. "Heroes" increased week-to-week by 5 percent in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.9) and 3 percent in total viewers (4.4 million vs. 4.3 million) in a time period that included competition from CBS's "Two and a Half Men" and "Big Bang Theory," ABC's "The Bachelor" and Fox's "24." "Heroes" is one of the most time-shifted programs on network television. So far this season, "Heroes" has added 30 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from its "live plus same day" to its "live plus seven day" results. In total viewers, "Heroes" adds 1.4 million viewers to its previously reported "live plus same day" results when "live plus seven day" ratings are released.

Monday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Jay Leno Show" averaged a 1.1/3 in adults 18-49, a 1.4/4 in adults 25-54 and 3.8 million viewers overall. Monday's time-period competition included CBS's CSI: Miami" and ABC's "Castle" encore.

Comparisons with Jay Leno's 2008-09 average at 11:35 p.m. ET on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" are: in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.4), adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.8) and total viewers (3.8 million vs. 5.1 million). Comparisons to NBC's Monday-through-Friday 10-11 p.m. ET non-sports average over the prior 52 weeks were: in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 2.2), adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 2.7) and total viewers (3.8 million vs. 6.9 million).

On Tuesday, February 2 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Biggest Loser" averaged a 1.5/4 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall.

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser: Couples" weighed in with a 3.7/9 in adults 18-49 and 9.5 million viewers overall. For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Biggest Loser" ranked #2 among the major networks in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 - ahead of CBS's "The Good Wife" and behind the concluding hour of the season premiere of ABC's "Lost." In the 9-10 p.m. hour, "Biggest Loser" outweighed CBS's "NCIS: LA" in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

On Wednesday, February 3 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Mercy" (1.6/5 in adults 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) sewed up its best 18-49 and total-viewer results in four weeks (since January 6).

Wednesday from 9-10:01 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law and Order; Special Victims Unit" averaged a 0.9/2 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall in a slot that included competition from Fox's "American Idol," CBS's "Criminal Minds" and ABC's "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town."

Wednesday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Jay Leno Show" averaged a 1.2/4 in adults 18-49, a 1.4/4 in adults 25-54 and 4.2 million viewers overall. Wednesday's time-period competition included CBS's "CSI: NY" and ABC's "Ugly Betty." "Jay Leno" built on its lead-in by 33 percent in adults 18-49 and ranked #2 among the major networks in total viewers and all key adult male demos - men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

On Thursday, February 4 from 8-8:30 p.m. ET, "Community" (2.3/7 in adults 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) was up 10 percent in both adults 18-49 and total viewers versus its last first-run telecast (a 2.1/6 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall on January 21). In the time period, "Community" ranked #1 among the major networks in men 18-34 and #2 or tied for #2 in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54. "Community" was up 35 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period this season prior to the debut of "Community" in the slot (2.3 vs. 1.7). It is worth noting that so far this season, "Community" has added 25 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from its "live plus same day" to its "live plus seven day" results.

From 8:30-9 p.m. ET, "Parks and Recreation" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) delivered a season high in adults 18-49 and attracted its biggest overall audience since December 10. "Parks" retained 100 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from "Community" and has now retained 95 percent or more of its 18-49 lead-in with 14 of 15 original telecasts this season. "Parks and Recreation" ranked #1 among the major networks in the slot in men 18-34 and #2 in adults 18-34 and men 18-49. It's worth noting that, "Parks and Recreation" has added 19 percent to its 18-49 rating this season when going from its "live plus same day" to its "live plus seven day" results.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (3.8/10 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) was the #2 show of the night in adults 18-49, behind only "Grey's Anatomy." In its highly competitive time period, "The Office" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 and in all key adult-male demos - men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 - ahead of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Fringe" Among adults 18-49, "The Office" out-rated "CSI" head-to-head from 9-9:30 p.m. by a 23 percent margin (3.8 vs. 3.1), marking the 11th consecutive "Office" original to outperform "CSI" in adults 18-49.

"The Office" is a heavily time-shifted show, adding an average 28 percent to its 18-49 rating so far this season when going from its "live plus same day" to its "live plus seven day" results. In total viewers, "The Office" adds more than 1.9 million viewers to its previously reported "live plus same day" results when "live plus seven day" ratings are released

From 9:31-10:01 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (2.9/8 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) scored its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since December 10. "30 Rock" ranked #1 among the major networks in its highly competitive time period in men 18-34 and men 18-49 and #2 in adults 18-34 and women 18-34. "30 Rock" is a heavily time-shifted program, so far this season adding an average 25 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from its "live plus same day" to its "live plus seven day" results. In total viewers, "30 Rock" adds more than 1.3 million viewers to its previously reported "live plus same day" results when "live plus seven day" ratings are released.

Thursday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Jay Leno Show" averaged a 1.1/3 in adults 18-49, a 1.4/4 in adults 25-54 and 3.9 million viewers overall. Thursday's time-period competition included first-run telecasts of CBS's "The Mentalist" and ABC's "Private Practice."

Comparisons to Jay Leno's 2008-09 average at 11:35 p.m. ET on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" were: in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.4), adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.8) and total viewers (3.9 million vs. 5.1 million). Comparisons to NBC's Monday-through-Friday 10-11 p.m. ET non-sports average over the prior 52 weeks were: in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 2.2), adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 2.7) and total viewers (3.9 million vs. 6.9 million).

On Friday, February 5 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law and Order" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in the time period in total viewers.

Friday from 9-10:01 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.5/5 in adults 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 or tied for #2 among the major networks in the slot in total viewers, adults 25-54 and other key measures. "Dateline" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 50 percent in adults 18-49.

Friday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Jay Leno Show" averaged a 1.2/4 in adults 18-49, a 1.5/4 in adults 25-54 and 4.4 million viewers overall. Friday's time-period competition included ABC's "20/20" and CBS's "Numb3rs." In the time period, "The Jay Leno Show" ranked #2 among the major networks in men 18-34 and men 18-49 (tie).

Comparisons to Jay Leno's 2008-09 average at 11:35 p.m. ET on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" were: in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.4), in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.8) and total viewers (4.4 million vs. 5.1 million). On Saturday, February 6 from 8-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Mercy" averaged a 0.4/1 in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall. From 9-10 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law and Order" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall) increased from its first half-hour to its second by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.8) and by 17 percent in total viewers (4.6 million vs. 3.9 million).

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in the hour in adults, men and women 18-49 and other key measures. "SVU" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 56 percent in adults 18-49 and by 33 percent or 1.4 million persons in total viewers.

"Law and Order: SVU" locked up its biggest overall viewership for a Saturday telecast since November 21 and its highest 18-49 rating on a Saturday since January 2.

On Sunday, February 7, from 7-9:04 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Biggest Loser: Couples" averaged a 0.4/1 in 18-49 and 1.4 million viewers overall. From 9:04-11:08 p.m., a second rebroadcast of "The Biggest Loser" averaged a 0.7/1 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall.

Despite competition from Super Bowl XLIV programming, "The Biggest Loser" rebroadcasts grew throughout the night, gaining 250 percent in 18-49 rating (0.7 vs. 0.2) and 80 percent in total viewers (to 2.2 million from. 1.2 million) from the first to the final half-hour of primetime on Sunday night.
