UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 19, 2012 - With Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" ranking as the #1 non-sports telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox for a third week in a row in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, NBC's primetime lineup has finished #2 among those networks in 18-49 and total viewers for the week of June 11-17. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.6 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 6.1 million viewers overall for the week.

The broad-based hit "America's Got Talent" was the week's #1 non-sports telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 (tie), households, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Among NBC's top-ranked programs for the week, Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" finished #4 in adult 18-49 overall and #1 among non-sports programs, Sunday's U.S. Open golf coverage tied for #10, Monday's Stanley Cup Game 6 tied for #14, Tuesday's "American Ninja Warrior" and Saturday's U.S. Open coverage tied for #16 and Tuesday's "Love in the Wild" and a Thursday encore of "Talent" tied for #20 (rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows).

In total viewers, "America's Got Talent" was also #4 overall and #1 non-sports for the week, while Sunday's U.S. Open coverage was #6 and Saturday's was #9.

Primetime averages for the week of June 11-17 in adults 18-49 were: ABC (3.0/10), NBC (1.6/5), Fox (1.5/5), CBS (1.1/3) and CW (0.2/1). In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: ABC (8.3 million), NBC (6.1 million), CBS (5.5 million), Fox (4.0 million) and CW (0.6 million).

For the 2011-12 broadcast year to date, NBC is tied for #3 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 rating and is #3 outright in viewers 18-49. NBC is the only network among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox that's up versus one year ago in viewers 18-49. NBC is also #2 in adults 18-34 for the broadcast year to date. Averages for the broadcast year through 38 weeks are: Fox (3.1/9), CBS (2.8/8), NBC (2.4/7), ABC (2.4/7) and CW (0.7/2). In overall total viewers, the broadcast-year averages are: CBS (11.2 million), Fox (8.6 million), ABC (8.2 million), NBC (7.2 million) and CW (1.6 million).

NBC highlights for the week of June 11-17

* On Monday, NBC Sports' coverage of Game 6 of the Devils-Kings Stanley Cup Final tied for #2 for the night in adults 18-49 and led its final full hour from 10-11 p.m. ET in that demo. From its first half-hour to its sixth, the NHL telecast grew by 92 percent in 18-49 rating.

* On Tuesday, a special edition of "American Ninja Warrior" grew substantially from its first half-hour to its second in all key ratings categories, including gains of 20 percent in adults 18-49 and 44 percent in adults 18-34.

* Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" delivered the #1 non-sports rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and total viewers and was the top non-sports program among those networks in the time period in every key category - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers - as well as teens and kids.

* Also on Tuesday, "Love in the Wild" grew week to week in total viewers to deliver its biggest overall audience since July 27, 2011, despite high-rated NBA competition last week.

* On Wednesday, an encore of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and 25-54.

* On Thursday, an encore "America's Got Talent" earned NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the 8 p.m. ET hour since April 26.

* Despite facing NBA competition on ABC this week, Thursday's "Saving Hope" improved week to week by 23 percent in total viewers and "Rock Center" grew by 24 percent. "Hope" generated NBC's biggest overall audience in that hour since March 15.

* Friday's "Dateline NBC" grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 56 percent in 18-49 rating and by 1.9 million persons in total viewers.

* On Saturday, NBC Sports' coverage of golf's U.S. Open won the night in 18-49 and total viewers with NBC's top Saturday averages since January 7.

* On Sunday, NBC ranked #2 in 18-49 and total viewers behind only ABC's NBA basketball with NBC Sports' coverage of the final round of golf's U.S. Open.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, June 11, NBC tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 for the night with NBC Sports' 8-11:07 p.m. ET coverage of the New Jersey Devils-Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup Final Game 6, which averaged a 2.0/6 in adults 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall. NBC led the night among those networks in men 18-34 and men 18-49. This was the highest-scoring game of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final in both 18-49 and total viewers. From its first to its sixth half-hour, NBC's coverage of Monday's Devils-Kings Game 6 increased by 92 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 2.5 rating from a 1.3) and by 45 percent or 1.9 million persons in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 4.1 million).

The Stanley Cup coverage ranked #1 for its final full hour from 10-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key categories.

On Tuesday, June 12, at 8 p.m. ET, a special Tuesday telecast of "American Ninja Warrior" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the hour in adults 18-49 and other key categories. "American Ninja Warrior" grew substantially from half-hour to half-hour in all key categories, including gains of 20 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.8 from a 1.5), 44 percent in adults 18-34 (1.3 vs. 0.9) and 18 percent in total viewers (5.4 million vs. 4.6 million), in a highly competitive time period opposite ABC's pre-game NBA Finals coverage (and game coverage in the Western U.S.), Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" and CBS's "NCIS" encore. Note that "American Ninja Warrior" was moved to Tuesday this week in a late schedule switch to accommodate coverage of Monday's Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.0/8 in 18-49, 11.2 million viewers overall) generated the #1 non-sports 18-49 and total-viewer results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, and the broad-based hit ranked #1 non-sports in the time period among those networks in all key ratings categories - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers - as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Love in the Wild" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key demographics behind only ABC's NBA Finals. Despite that high-rated NBA competition, "Love in the Wild" finished within 6 percent of the prior week's season-premiere 1.6 rating in 18-49 and grew week to week by 1 percent in total viewers (4.818 million vs. 4.760 million). Against the NBA competition, "Love in the Wild" delivered its biggest overall audience since July 27, 2011. And versus the average of its final three telecasts last summer, last night's "Love in the Wild" grew by 7 percent in 18-49 rating (1.5 vs. 1.4) and by 5 percent in total viewers (4.8 million vs. 4.6 million).

On Wednesday, June 13 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) finished #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demographics. Week to week, "Off Their Rockers" was up 9 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.1). At 8:30 ET, a rebroadcast of "Up All Night" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall.

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of " Law & Order: Special Victims Unit " (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall) was up week to week by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.8).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, another rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall. The 10 p.m. "SVU" rebroadcast grew from its first half-hour to its second by 11 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.9), 18 percent in adults 25-54 (1.3 vs. 1.1) and 14 percent in total viewers (3.8 million vs. 3.3 million).

On Thursday, June 14 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 1.5/5 in 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall. "Talent" earned NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since April 26.

Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, "Saving Hope" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) equaled the prior week's premiere in 18-49 despite this week's NBA competition and grew week to week in total viewers by 23 percent (3.980 million vs. 3.237 million) to deliver NBC's biggest overall viewership in the hour since March 15. Versus NBC's total-viewer average in the time period last summer, "Saving Hope" is up 71 percent (3.980 million vs. 2.331 million, L+SD non-sports).

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "Rock Center" (0.8/2 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) is up week to week despite this week's NBA competition by 14 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 0.8 rating from a 0.7), 20 percent in adults 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.0) and 24 percent in total viewers (3.915 million vs. 3.158 million). "Rock Center" built on its 18-49 lead-in by 14 percent. Compared with NBC's total-viewer average in the time period last summer, "Rock Center" is up 52 percent (3.915 million vs. 2.579 million, L+SD non-sports).

Friday, June 15 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Whitney" delivered a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall. At 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Community," which on Monday was named top comedy at the Critics Choice Television Awards, averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.4 million viewers overall, retaining 100 percent of its 18-49 lead-in.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and all other key categories. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 56 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 0.9), 50 percent in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.2) and 51 percent or 1.9 million persons in total viewers (5.5 million vs. 3.6 million.

On Saturday, June 16, the primetime portion of NBC Sports' coverage of U.S. Open Championship Golf from 8-10:34 p.m. ET averaged a 1.9/8 in adults 18-49 and 8.3 million viewers overall to rank #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and all other key demographics. For its full duration from 4:01-10:34 p.m., the telecast averaged 7.6 million viewers, the most for third-round coverage of the U.S. Open since 2002. From 10:34-11 p.m., an encore "Betty White's Off Their Rockers," joined in progress, averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall.

NBC was #1 Saturday night in all key categories (including a tie among women 18-34). It was NBC's top-scoring Saturday in 18-49 and total viewers since NBC Sports' coverage of the Lions-Saints Wild Card NFL playoff game on January 7.

On Sunday, June 20, the primetime portion of NBC Sports' coverage of U.S. Open Championship Golf averaged a 2.6/8 in adults 18-49 and 10.9 million viewers overall from 7-10:32 p.m. ET to rank #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories, behind only ABC's coverage of NBA basketball. For its full duration from 4-10:32 p.m., the telecast averaged 9.6 million viewers, the most for final-round coverage of the U.S. Open since 2008. From 10:44-11 p.m., an encore "Betty White's Off Their Rockers," joined in progress, averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall.

NBC ranked #2 in primetime Sunday in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and most other key ratings categories, behind only ABC and its NBA Playoffs coverage.
