"Bad Judge" Is the First Among Five Debuting Comedies on the Big 4 This Season to Maintain 100% of Its Debut Rating in Week Two
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, October 9.

Thursday Primetime Results:

· "Bad Judge" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) retained 100% of last week's premiere rating in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.3), making it the first among five debuting comedies on the Big 4 this season to maintain 100% of its debut rating in week two. For the traditional 2013-14 season, only one of 20 premiering comedies on the Big 4 maintained its premiere rating in week two (ABC's "Mixology,"1.7 vs. 1.7).

· Last night's "Bad Judge" built on the prior hour's rating from "The Biggest Loser" by +8% in 18-49 rating, up from last week, when the "Bad Judge" debut matched its "Biggest Loser" lead-in. In total viewers, last night's "Bad Judge" built by +13% on "Biggest Loser."

· The 1.3 for "Bad Judge" equaled NBC's top 18-49 rating in the slot with in-season regular programming since Nov. 7, 2013.

· "A to Z" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 77% of its lead-in from "Bad Judge" in adults 18-49, held onto 88% in adults 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.8) and retained 91% in women 18-34 (1.0 vs. 1.1). "A to Z" outrated Fox's "Gracepoint" head to head from 9:30 to 10 in adults and women 18-49, women 25-54 and adults, men and women 18-34

· "Parenthood" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 100% of last week's rating in adults 18-49. From its first half-hour to its second, last night's "Parenthood" maintained or grew in every key measure, despite the 10 p.m. hour.

· Versus the same night last year, "Parenthood" is up +8% in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.2 on Oct. 10, 2013) and up +26% in total viewers (4.260 million vs. 3.392 million), despite competition this year from CBS's NFL football and ABC's "How to Get Away With Murder."

· L+3: The previous week's "Parenthood" on Oct. 2 (2.19 rating in adults 18-49, 6.499 million viewers overall) grew by +66% in 18-49 (to a 2.19 from a 1.32) and 2.2 million viewers overall (to 6.5 million from 4.3 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

· Upscale: "Parenthood" is the #1 most upscale primetime series on the Big 4 networks in "most current" L+3 results through the opening two weeks of the season, indexing at a 173 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

· "The Biggest Loser" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) retained 92% of last week's 1.3 in 18-49, retained 99% in total viewers (4.606 million vs. 4.643 million).

Versus the same night last year, NBC is up:

· +9% in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.1)

· +31% in total viewers (4.428 million vs. 3.392 million)

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.7/5 delayed by an NFL overrun; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.9/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET , ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/4 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/5 with an encore delayed by an NFL overrun). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.5/4 with an encore delayed by an NFL overrun).

· At 1:35 a.m. ET , "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
