"The Voice" Wins Its Time Period Among the Big 4 in 18-49, Total Viewers and Nearly All Other Key Measures
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, December 8.

Monday Results (Note ABC carried NFL football in the Atlanta and Milwaukee markets):

NBC ranked #1 for the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key measures with the #1 show of the night on those nets, "The Voice."

· "The Voice" (2.5/7 in 18-49, 10.6 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and was also #1 on those nets for the night in total viewers, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and most other key categories.

· "The Voice" won the time period among the Big 4 in 18-49, total viewers and nearly all other key measures.

· "State of Affairs" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) maintained 100% of last week's rating in 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.6), despite facing original CBS drama competition this week from "NCIS: LA" versus an encore "Scorpion" last week.

· "State of Affairs" grew week to week by +25% or 0.2 of a rating point in adults 18-34 (from a 0.8 to a 1.0), +18% in women 18-34 (1.1 to 1.3) and +5% in women 18-49 (1.9 to 2.0).

· In the time period, "State of Affairs" is currently running within 0.1 of the time-period lead among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, currently held by ABC's "Castle," but note that ABC's results are subject to adjustment due to NFL preemptions in the Atlanta and Milwaukee markets.

· "State of Affairs" will add substantial audience via time-shifting, with the prior week's telecast growing by +40% in 18-49 (from a 1.60 to a 2.24) and more than 2.5 million viewers overall (7.0 million to 9.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Last Week's L+3 Results:

· "The Voice" grew by +20% in 18-49 (from a 2.75 rating to a 3.30) and 1.4 million viewers overall (from 11.3 million to 12.7 million) going from "live plus same day" ratings to L+3.

· "State of Affairs" grew by +40% in 18-49 (from a 1.60 rating to a 2.24 and 2.5 million viewers overall (from 7.0 million to 9.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

· Week-to-week gains for "State of Affairs" increased significantly in L+3 results versus L+SD: To +33% in 18-49 (1.69 to 2.24) from +15% in L+SD and to a week-to-week gain of 2.8 million or +41% in total viewers (6.8 million to 9.6 million), up from nearly 1.7 million or +31% in L+SD. Note that the prior week's "State of Affairs" was interrupted by coverage of a Presidential address.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
