Friday's "Dateline" Is #1 Show of the Night on the Big 4 in 18-49

FRIDAY'S 'DATELINE' IS #1 SHOW OF THE NIGHT ON THE BIG 4 IN 18-49; UP WEEK TO WEEK FOR A THIRD WEEK IN A ROW TO A FIVE-MONTH FRIDAY HIGH

'BEST TIME EVER' ENCORE WINS 8 P.M. HOUR, HITS SIX-WEEK TIME-SLOT HIGH FOR NBC

Friday Primetime Results:

NBC ranks #1 Friday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and is #1 or tied for #1 in all other key demos, with "Dateline NBC" the #1 telecast of the night on those nets in 18-49 and a "Best Time Ever" encore #1 in the 8-9 p.m. ET hour.

· An encore telecast of "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) won the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and was #1 or tied for #1 among those nets in every key demographic.

· The rebroadcast "Best Time Ever" scored a six-week time-period high for NBC, best in the slot since an "America's Got Talent" encore on Aug. 7).

· Note that "Best Time Ever" rebroadcast is close to rounding up to a 0.8 (currently reporting a 0.74).

· "Dateline NBC" (1.2/5 in adults 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) reported its highest Friday adult 18-49 rating in five months (since April 3, 1.2) and matched its Friday high in adult 25-54 rating (1.6) over that same span.

· "Dateline NBC" is Friday's #1 telecast on the Big 4 in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 25-54.

· Friday's "Dateline" is up week to week for a third week in a row in 18-49 (from a 0.7 on Aug. 28 to a 1.0 on Sept. 4 to a 1.1 on Sept. 11 to a 1.2 on Sept. 18).

· For its second hour from 9-10 p.m., "Dateline NBC" ranked #1 versus ABC's "20/20" and CBS's "Blue Bloods" encore in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

· For the Friday 10-11 p.m. hour, "Dateline" has ranked #1 or tied for #1 for 12 of the last 13 weeks among ABC, CBS and NBC.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:

Friday's "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon":

· Excluding the prior Friday (which featured guest Donald Trump), scored the show's highest metered-market household rating for a Friday (3.6) in five months (since April 10, 3.1) and equaled its Friday high since February (Feb. 27, 3.2).

· Dominated the time period, +19% vs. Colbert (3.1 vs. 2.6).

· Jumped +19% above its summer average prior to Colbert's debut (3.1 vs. 2.6).

Jimmy Fallon's guests Friday included Keith Richards, Emma Roberts and Nate Bargatze.

Friday's "Late Night with Seth Meyers":

· Excluding the prior week (when "Tonight" featured guest Donald Trump), scored "Late Night's" highest metered-market household rating for a Friday (1.5) in five months (since April 10, 1.6).

· Jumped +25% above its summer average through Sept. 7 (1.5 vs. 1.2).

Seth Meyers' guests Friday included Ed Burns, Richard Kind and Judy Blume.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.1/8; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.6/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/6; "Late Show," 0.7/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
