Atypical is a coming of age story told from the unique perspective of Sam (played by Keir Gilchrist), an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum as he searches for love and independence.
Jennifer Jason Leigh stars as Sam's mother, Elsa, who is on her own journey of self-discovery as her son realizes more independence. Michael Rapaport plays his father, Doug, who longs to build a closer relationship with Sam. Brigette Lundy-Paine plays Sam's scrappy sister, Casey, and Amy Okuda plays his therapist, Julia.
Premiering with eight episodes on August 11, Atypical was created and written by Robia Rashid (How I Met Your Mother).
