THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE (The CW) - Production on the freshman drama has reportedly been pushed from July 22 to July 31. Industry insiders have speculated said move is the result of co-star Mischa Barton's recent hospitalization however it's believed it has more to do with the fact some of the sets were not completed on time. The delay nevertheless isn't expected affect the show's previously announced September 16 launch.


BIG LOVE (HBO) - Adam Beach ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit") has booked a recurring role on the show's upcoming fourth season. He's on board as Tommy Flute, the son of Bill's partner, the head of the Indian Gaming Casino Jerry Flute (Robert Beltran). No other details about his character however were released.


COPPER (ABC) - Melanie Nicholls King ("Law and Order"), Enuka Okumu ("24"), Travis Milne, Ben Bass, Eric Johnson ("Smallville"), Matt Gordon, Noam Jenkins and Aidan Devine are the latest additions to the drama, which follows rookie cops at work and play. No details about their respective roles however were given. Thumper Inc. and E1 Entertainment are behind the hour, with Ilana Frank, John Morayniss, Noreen Halpern and Tassie Cameron executive producing.


GAME OF THRONES (HBO) - Sean Bean ("The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring") has been tapped for the lead role on the drama pilot, about "a battle among seven kingdoms and between two ruling families for control of the Iron Throne, the possession that ensures survival through a 40-year winter to come." He'll play Lord Eddard "Ned" Stark, who becomes the closest adviser to one of the kings. Mark Addy is in final negotiations to play said King, Robert. Also signing on are Kit Harrington as Jon Snow, Bean's bastard son; Jack Gleeson as Joffrey, King Robert's son; and Harry Lloyd as Viserys, a powerless ruler who seeks to marry off his sister to a powerful king. Tom McCarthy is directing the hour from a script by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss based on the George R.R. Martin fantasy-book series. Production is set to begin in October with Guymon Casady, Carolyn Strauss, Vincent Gerardis and Martin also serving as executive producers.


ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY (TLC, New!) - The cable channel has given a six-episode order to RDF USA for a new reality series about the lives of a morbidly obese family facing everyday realities. The company's Mike Duffy created the project, which will feature a North Carolina family: "a 40-year-old man weighing 340 pounds; his 35-year-old wife, who is close to 400 pounds; and their 330- and 340-pound teenage kids." Duffy is executive producing alongside Chris Coelen and showrunner Julia Silverton.


SINGLE SERVING (NBC, New!) - "Top Chef� host Padma Lakshmi is developing a new comedy at the Peacock and Universal Media Studios. The potential half-hour, which comes from Charlie Corwin's Original Media, would star Lakshmi as a woman working in the culinary world. The pair are currently talking with writers to hammer out the concept for the project, which has a script commitment from the network.


THREE RIVERS (CBS) - Newcomer Amber Clayton has joined the cast of the freshman drama, about organ transplants as seen through the eyes of the doctors, donors and recipients involved. She'll play Lisa Reed, a "witty pragmatic young ER doctor who helps facilitate transplant cases." The addition comes as producers plan to reshoot the pilot, which will also feature the recasting of several characters.
