CAUGHT IN PROVIDENCE (Syndication, New!) - Judge Frank Caprio is set to be the focus of a new syndicated offering from Debmar-Mercury and Citylife Productions which "will feature fresh episodes of real-life cases directly from Caprio's Providence, RI, courtroom." Fox Television Stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Orlando, Minneapolis and Charlotte are among the participating stations set to carry the series in fall 2018. The show first aired on Providence local access, then was picked up by ABC6-WLNE. (Deadline.com)
CITY ON A HILL (Showtime) - Jill Hennessy, Kevin Chapman, Jere Shea and Lauren E. Banks are the latest additions to the drama pilot. Hennessy will play Jenny Rhodes, "the feisty wife of Jackie Rhodes (Kevin Bacon) who has her own agenda"; with Chapman as Dickie Minogue, "a Boston cop who comes into conflict with Jackie"; Shea as Hank Signa, "an investigator for the Suffolk County DA who works with Decourcy Ward (Aldis Hodge)"; and Banks as Siobhan Quays, "an attorney who is the wife of Decourcy Ward." Additionally, Cathy Moriarty will guest as Ma Ryan, "the doting mother of Frankie (Jonathan Tucker) and Jimmy (Mark O'Brien) who is too easy on Jimmy and too tough on Frankie"; plus Michael O'Keefe as Agent Clasby, "a retiring FBI agent and former partner of Jackie"; Amanda Clayton as Cathy Ryan, "the warm but tough wife of Frankie"; and Rory Culkin as Clay Roach, "an informant who works for Jackie." (Deadline.com)
FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES, THE (Netflix) - The streaming service has acquired the streaming rights to the Sean Bean-led drama series, a thrilling and terrifying re-imagining of the Frankenstein Myth set in 19th century London. The six-episode series was previously slated to premiere on A&E back in 2015 but never materialized. (Variety.com)
FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE (Netflix) - Writer/director Nick Stoller has signed a three-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. There he'll develop new series projects under his Stoller Global Solutions banner. (Deadline.com)
LADY IN THE MASK (The CW, New!) - Thomas Brandon has booked a psychological thriller at the netlet "set in a near future where people can back-up their minds like they back-up their computer. It centers on a woman who awakens in the hospital after a suspicious car accident and learns her memory was damaged and restored from a two-year-old "back-up." As she tries to return to her seemingly loving husband, high-profile job in her family's tech VC firm, and otherwise normal life, the details about her missing years begin to contradict one another, leading her to believe she's being manipulated by someone close to her, that the accident was no accident and that she's at the center of a much larger conspiracy - unless she's just losing her mind." Amblin Television's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey will executive produce the hour for CBS Television Studios with Brandon serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
NATURAL HISTORY (NBC, New!) - Chris Hardwick and David X. Cohen are set to team for a new comedy about "a young woman who returns home to become director of a beloved local natural history museum, only to find it has gone to hell in her absence. She must wrangle her well-intentioned but less-than-reliable staff while battling slashed budgets, rude patrons and collapsing dinosaur skeletons." Fish Ladder Productions' Mike Clements and Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Alex Murray will also executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
SEARCHING FOR ME (FOX, New!) - Aimee Lagos (No Good Deed) has sold a new soap to the network about "a family whose lives are thrown into a tailspin after a deadly accident threatens to expose the family's deepest and darkest secrets. Set against the backdrop of an unraveling murder mystery, this close-knit family, bound by identity, becomes tested by the deeply rooted lies that, if exposed, could be their ultimate undoing." Chernin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Television are behind the hour. No other auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
SUPERGIRL (The CW) - Krys Marshall has scored a recurring role on the series as Julia Freeman, "a 20-something musician living near National City who holds clues to Reign's true identity." (TVLine.com)
UNSOLVED: THE MURDERS OF TUPAC AND THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. (USA) - Amirah Vann will recur on the upcoming anthology as FBI Agent Justine Simon, "the youngest and only female member of the 2006 task force; something she's used to and never lets get in her way." (Deadline.com)
