BLESS THIS MESS/SINGLE PARENTS (ABC) - Executive producer Liz Meriwether has reportedly signed a four-year, high eight-figure overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. The pact will keep Meriwether at the studio, where she'll continue on both series as well as develop new series projects, including the pilot "Woman Up," also at ABC. (Deadline.com)
DUMMY (Quibi) - Donal Logue will star opposite Anna Kendrick in the short-form video platform's comedy series, which "follows an aspiring writer (Kendrick) and her boyfriend's (Logue) sex doll." (Deadline.com)
EMPIRE (FOX) - 20th Century Fox Television has picked up an option on co-star Jussie Smollett, leaving the door open for his return to the series. Nevertheless, the network and studio said in a joint statement: "By mutual agreement, the studio has negotiated an extension to Jussie Smollett's option for Season 6, but at this time there are no plans for the character of Jamal to return to 'Empire.'" LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE (Hulu) - Lynn Shelton has signed on to direct and executive produce the upcoming limited series, which stars Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington, and Rosemarie DeWitt. She'll helm four of the eight planned episodes, including the premiere and the finale. (Variety.com)
WESTWORLD (HBO) - Vincent Cassel has signed on as "a new villain" on the upcoming third season. No other specifics were given other than he will be a series regular. (Deadline.com)
