A MURDER CASE LEADS EMERSON TO HIS DAUGHTER'S MISSING MAMA -- COULD HIS DAUGHTER BE FAR BEHIND? -- ON ABC'S "PUSHING DAISIES"

"Water & Power" Emerson gets a lead in his daughter Penny's whereabouts when he investigates the murder of millionaire Roland Stingwell (guest star Fred Williamson). The prime suspect: Penny's no-good mama, Lila Robinson (guest star Gina Torres), who ran off with the girl years ago. Meanwhile, an awkward Randy Mann (guest star David Arquette) tries to romance Olive, on "Pushing Daisies," SATURDAY, JUNE 6 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Pushing Daisies" stars Lee Pace as Ned, Anna Friel as Chuck, Chi McBride as Emerson Cod, Ellen Greene as Vivian, Field Cate as Young Ned, with Swoosie Kurtz as Lily and Kristin Chenoweth as Olive Snook. Jim Dale is the narrator.

Guest starring in "Water & Power" are Christine Adams as Simone, Steven Wash Jr. as Young Emerson, David Arquette as Randy Mann, Francesca P. Roberts as Amelia Stingwell, Fred Williamson as Roland Stingwell, Gina Torres as Lila Robinson, Robert Picardo as Detective Puget and Matt Winston as Michael Brunt.

"Water & Power" was written by Peter Ocko from a story by Lisa Joy & Jim Danger Gray. Dean White directed.

"Pushing Daisies" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.

(from ABC's press release, September 2008) Chuck goes undercover as a "Bee Girl" at a honey-based cosmetics company after their new spokesmodel (guest star Autumn Reeser) is stung to death. She soon discovers that office politics are killer (literally) between the founder (guest star Missi Pyle as Betty Bee) and the new owner (guest star French Stewart as Woolsey Nicholls). Meanwhile, Ned can't stand her growing independence or the fact that she wants to move out of his apartment. In other developments, Lily spirits Olive off to a nunnery so she won't spill Lily's deep, dark secret, on the Second-Season premiere of ABC's critically-acclaimed "Pushing Daisies" nominated for 12 Emmy Awards -- WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
