A FORBIDDEN YOUNG LOVE ENDS WITH A MOTHER'S VIOLENT MURDER "A FATAL ATTRACTION" TUESDAY, JULY 3 (10:00 PM, ET/PT)

After Joanne Witt suspected her 14-year-old daughter, Tylar, was having a sexual relationship with 19-year-old Steven Colver, she tried to put a stop to it. Tylar and Joanne's battles got physical, according to a friend. Joanne vowed to report Colver to the sheriff's department for statutory rape charges.

The couple denied the relationship to investigators. But when Joanne found Tylar's diary, which detailed the forbidden love, she turned it over to police. Afterward, say police, Tylar and Steven conspired to murder Joanne.

48 HOURS MYSTERY correspondent Richard Schlesinger reports on the disturbing series of events that led to the Joanne being stabbed to death and the arrests of Tylar and Steven. In this updated rebroadcast, Schlesinger explores all sides of the case in interviews with the prosecutor, Lisette Suder, and Steven's attorney, Dain Weiner, as well as Joanne's parents, Norb and Judy Witt.
