07/01/2013 (08:00PM - 10:00PM) (Monday) : 'AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR' LEAPS BACK TO NBC WITH TWO HOUR PREMIERE FEATURING THE QUALIFYING ROUND FROM VENICE BEACH, CA - MATT ISEMAN RETURNS TO THE SHOW AS HOST AND WILL BE JOINED BY FORMER NFL PLAYER AKBAR GBAJA BIAMILA - JENN BROWN (ESPN) CO-HOSTS - The heart-racing obstacle course competition series "American Ninja Warrior" returns to both NBC (its second full season) and G4 (its fifth season) this summer with all new episodes on each network. The action-packed series follows competitors as they tackle the world's most difficult obstacle courses in qualifying and finals rounds across the country. Those that successfully complete the course in each city will move onto the national finals round in Las Vegas where they face a stunning four-stage course modeled after the famed Mt. Midoriyama - based on the Japanese television series "Sasuke." This two-hour premiere features the qualifying round held in Venice Beach, California earlier this spring. Competitors must tackle six obstacles in the qualifying round and on this course they face four brand new obstacles including the Frame Slider, Domino Hill, Chain Swing and Flying Nun Chucks. Returning fan favorites in Venice include parkour enthusiasts Kyle Cochran and Brent Steffensen. Competitors vie for a chance to win a cash prize of $500,000 and the title "American Ninja Warrior."

"American Ninja Warrior" delivered a 2.0 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall last summer and was up versus the prior summer by +11% in 18-49 rating (2.0 vs. 1.8) and up +7% in total viewers (5.9 million vs. 5.6 million). The Sept. 9, 2014 season finale improved versus the year-earlier finale by +20% in adults 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.5) and +31% in total viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.0 million).
