"Motive" returns for an exciting second season with gripping new cases featuring more complicated killers and intricate crime scenes, WEDNESDAY, MAY 21 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Turning the tried-and-true crime drama formula on its head, both the killer and the victim are introduced at the start of each episode. As the mystery unfolds, winding between revealing flashbacks and present time, viewers will navigate the twisted and complicated maze of each murder, solving the puzzle alongside Homicide Detective Angie Flynn and her team, piecing together more of the mysterious connections that drove the Killer to commit murder.

On the season premiere episode, "Raw Deal," Detectives Flynn and Vega investigate a suspected suicide victim who may have had some unwelcome help ending his life. Meanwhile, the Metro Police Department homicide team has a new Commander, Sergeant Mark Cross - a charismatic former undercover detective with a mysterious link to Angie's past.

"Motive" stars Kristin Lehman as Detective Angie Flynn, Louis Ferreira as Detective Oscar Vega, Brendan Penny as Detective Brian Lucas, Lauren Holly as Dr. Betty Rogers and Warren Christie as Sergeant Mark Cross.

Guest starring are David Alpay as Ian Weaver, Shawn Roberts as Kevin Carpenter, Amanda Crew as Robin Keaton, Tom McBeath as Dave Chissolm, Jesse Filkow as Ben Chissolm, Erica Carroll as Shelley Carpenter, Byron Noble as homeowner and Valerie Tian as Wendy Sung.

"Raw Deal" was written by Dennis Heaton and directed by David Frazee.

"Motive" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to the airdate.
