03/01/2017 (08:00PM - 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : FIREHOUSE 51 RESPONDS TO THE SCENE OF A HARROWING BLAZE THAT ENDANGERS THE LIVES OF MANY, INCLUDING A MEMBER OF THE CHICAGO FAMILY- CROSSOVER CONTINUES INTO "CHICAGO P.D." AND LEADS INTO A PREVIEW OF THE NEWEST CHICAGO FRANCHISE, "CHICAGO JUSTICE" - Truck and squad are called to aid in a massive all-city response when an old, ill-equipped factory-turned live/work space quickly turns into a firestorm, trapping countless unsuspecting victims. The dire situation quickly turns personal when it is discovered that one of Chicago PD's own has a family member at the scene. With the rescued victims in need of serious medical attention, the doctors and nurses of Chicago Med are tested as the major influx of patients are brought through their doors. Meanwhile, in the aftermath, the building owner steps forward to cooperate with the ongoing investigation, but the situation takes a sudden and unexpected turn. DESCRIPTION:
(from NBC's press release, February 2016) Iconic television creator/producer Dick Wolf has signed a new overall deal with NBCUniversal that extends his relationship with the network through 2020. In addition, NBC has given an 18th season renewal for "Law & Order: SVU" as well as a pickup for the second season of Wolf's newest drama, "Chicago Med." Both "Chicago Fire" (season 5) and "Chicago P.D." (season 4) have previously been renewed. Wolf is also in active development for the latest incarnation of the Chicago franchise, "Chicago Law," as well as the reality series "Law & Order: You the Jury," where the audience will decide the binding result of a live court case.
