SEASON FINALE

FRANKIE AND MIKE ARE ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE FENCE ABOUT WHAT TO DO WHEN AXL INFORMS THEM THAT HE'S GOING TO EUROPE OVER THE SUMMER WITH KENNY, WHICH MEANS HE'S NOT GOING TO ACTIVELY BE LOOKING FOR A JOB, AND SUE PANICS WHEN SHE ACCIDENTALLY SCRAPES A PARKED SUV, ON THE SEASON FINALE OF ABC'S 'THE MIDDLE'

The Episode Was Directed by Co-Creator/Executive Producer Eileen Heisler

"Fight or Flight" - Having finally graduated college, Axl tells Frankie and Mike that he's planning on going to Europe over the summer with Kenny. Although Frankie thinks this is a great once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Mike is less than pleased and thinks his slacker son should be putting all of his summer efforts into finding a job. Meanwhile, Sue begins to panic after she barely scrapes a parked SUV and doesn't hear back from the owner after leaving several notes on the windshield, and Brick discovers that his sudden onset of backaches is due to not sitting in his lawn chair, which was replaced by a normal kitchen-table chair, on the season finale of "The Middle," TUESDAY, MAY 16 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

"The Middle" stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick.

Guest starring are Jen Ray as Nancy Donahue and Jonathan Palmer as Rob.

"Fight or Flight" was written by Ilana Wernick and directed by Eileen Heisler.
