FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The highly anticipated season nine premiere of "The Walking Dead," launches on Sunday, October 7th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the season premiere, "A New Beginning," Rick and his group make a risky run into Washington, D.C. to search for artifacts they will need to build the civilization he and Carl envisioned. This episode is written by Angela Kang and directed by Greg Nicotero.

Last season brought the culmination of "All Out War," which pitted Rick Grimes and his group of survivors against the Saviors and their cunning leader, Negan. With Negan's life in his hands, Rick had a character-defining choice in front of him. By making the unilateral decision to spare Negan, Rick upheld the values his late son, Carl, championed in order to build for the future, but created conflict within his group.

Now, we see our survivors a year and a half after the end of the war, rebuilding civilization under Rick's steadfast leadership. It is a time of relative peace among the communities as they work together, looking to the past to forge the future, but the world they knew is rapidly changing as man-made structures continue to degrade, and nature takes over, changing the landscape and creating new challenges for our survivors.

As time passes, the communities confront unexpected obstacles, danger, and of course, walkers, but nothing quite prepares them for the formidable force they are about to encounter, which threatens the very idea of civilization that our survivors have worked so hard to build.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, "The Walking Dead" reigns as television's most watched drama for Adults 18-49. "The Walking Dead" tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse, and follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The series is executive produced by showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse.

Following the season nine premiere, viewers can catch an all-new episode of "Talking Dead" hosted by Chris Hardwick at 10:26 p.m. ET/PT, featuring "The Walking Dead" Director and Executive Producer Greg Nicotero, Showrunner Angela Kang, and series stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The season four finale of "Better Call Saul" airs on Monday, October 8th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the season finale, "Winner," Jimmy turns the page on his reputation, while Lalo tracks a loose end in Gus' operation and Mike is forced to make a difficult decision. This episode is written by Peter Gould and Thomas Schnauz and directed by Adam Bernstein.

In "Better Call Saul's" fourth season, Chuck's death catalyzes Jimmy McGill's (Bob Odenkirk) transformation into Saul Goodman. In the wake of his loss, Jimmy takes steps into the criminal world that will put his future as a lawyer - and his relationship with Kim (Rhea Seehorn) - in jeopardy. Chuck's (Michael McKean) death deeply affects former colleagues Howard (Patrick Fabian) and Kim as well, putting the two of them once again on opposite sides of a battle sparked by the Brothers McGill.

Meanwhile, Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) takes a more active role as Madrigal Electromotive's newest (and most thorough) security consultant. It's a volatile time to be in Gus Fring's (Giancarlo Esposito) employ, as Hector's collapse sends shock waves throughout the Albuquerque underworld and throws the cartel into chaos - tearing apart both Gus and Nacho's (Michael Mando) well-laid plans. While Gus changes course, Nacho finds himself in the crosshairs of deadly forces.

The critically acclaimed drama is executive produced by Peter Gould, Vince Gilligan, Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Thomas Schnauz and Gennifer Hutchison. The series recently garnered a 2018 Peabody Award, and, over three seasons, has earned 23 Emmy(R) Award nominations, three Golden Globe(R) Award nominations, two Writers Guild Awards, three Critics' Choice Awards, a Television Critics Association Award and two AFI Awards for "TV Programs of the Year," among many other Guild nominations. Created by Gilligan and Gould, the series stars Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando and Giancarlo Esposito.

The season one finale of AMC's new original series "Lodge 49" airs on Monday, October 8th at 10:25 p.m. ET/PT. On the season finale, "Full Fathom Five," the Lodge's fate hangs in limbo, while Dud resigns himself to a new path and Liz reaches her breaking point. This episode is written by Jim Gavin and directed by Randall Einhorn.

"Lodge 49" is a light-hearted, endearing modern fable set in Long Beach, California about a disarmingly optimistic local ex-surfer, Dud (Wyatt Russell), who's drifting after the death of his father and collapse of the family business. Dud serendipitously finds himself on the doorstep of a rundown fraternal lodge, where a middle-aged plumbing salesman and "Luminous Knight" of the order, Ernie (Jennings), welcomes him into a world of cheap beer, easy camaraderie and the promise of Alchemical mysteries that may - or may not - put Dud on the path to recover the idyllic life he's lost. Jim Gavin (Author, Middle Men) serves as creator, writer, and executive-producer alongside showrunner Peter Ocko (Pushing Daisies, The Office). Additional executive producers include Paul Giamatti ("Billions," Sideways, Outsiders, Hoke), Dan Carey (Outsiders, Hoke, John Dies at the End, All Is Bright) and Jeff Freilich ("Halt and Catch Fire," "Grace and Frankie").

The second half of "The Walking Dead" season nine finds our groups of survivors, both old and new, continuing to deal with the impact of events that took place during the six years that have passed. Since the disappearance of Rick, many of these characters have become strangers to each other, and in some ways, strangers to themselves. What they do know is that they are in undeniable danger. They will soon realize the world just beyond does not operate as they thought. The group's rules and ways of survival no longer guarantee their safety. A whole new threat has crossed their paths, and they soon discover it's unlike any threat they have encountered or endured before. The group will start to question what they think they see. What may appear to be normal in this post-apocalyptic world could actually be more disturbing and terrifying than when the apocalypse first broke out.
