Lifetime Networks Names Nina Lederman Senior Vice President, Series Programming and Development

NEW YORK, Oct. 27 -- Nina Lederman, respected programming executive and producer of hit comedies, dramas and specials for networks including NBC, ABC, CBS and HBO, has been named Senior Vice President, Series Programming and Development, Lifetime Networks. It was announced today by JoAnn Alfano, Executive Vice President, Entertainment, Lifetime Networks.

In this role, Lederman will oversee the development of all scripted programming for Lifetime Television. Based in Los Angeles, Lederman will report to Alfano.

In making the announcement, JoAnn Alfano said: "Nina's extensive experience as a production executive, producer and development executive make her a triple threat in this industry. As the business landscape continues to change, she has the perfect skill set to explore new, efficient and effective production models. The combination of Nina's talent, strong relationships and vision make her an incredible asset to expand on Lifetime's record of success in scripted series."

Lifetime currently has the #1 drama on cable for women 18-49 with "Army Wives," and the network's first original prime-time comedy series in a decade, "Rita Rocks," had a strong debut last week.

Lederman said: "Joining Lifetime is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to working with outstanding executives such as Andrea and JoAnn and their team. I am thrilled to have a chance to use my experience in developing and producing new programming to help build on the network's impressive foundation of hit scripted series."
