SPARTACUS (Starz) - Todd Lasance's Gaius Julius Caesar, the chief antagonist of the show's upcoming final season, is being eyed for a potential spin-off at the cable channel. Executive producer Robert Tapert is spearheading the effort, which would track the young Caesar who has yet to begin his ascent toward ruling the Roman state. "Spartacus" creator Steven S. DeKnight likely won't be involved in the project as he's busy with the sci-fi drama "Incursion," also at the network. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Charlie Carver and Max Carver have been tapped as identical twin alpha werewolves on "Teen Wolf" with Adelaide Kane and Felisha Terrell as "a mysterious and beautiful young woman toughened by a life on her own" and "a ruthless and sexy alpha werewolf who invades Beacon Hills," respectively (Deadline.com); Peter Cambor will once again reprise his role of Nate Getz on "NCIS: LA" for a February episode (EW.com); Marin Ireland will guest on "The Following" as "a sweet and simple-minded but fragile woman" (THR.com); Chad Michael Murray is set to recur on "Southland" as "a likable cop who is a bit of a loose cannon" (TVLine.com); Laura Vandervoort will drop by "CSI: NY" as "a young woman who is just getting out of prison after serving two years for possession of stolen property" (TVLine.com); Sendhil Ramamurthy will visit "Hot in Cleveland" as "the city's most sought-after kiddie doc" (TVLine.com); and Judge Karen Mills-Francis will return to syndication next fall in "Supreme Justice With Judge Karen" from Entertainment Studios (Deadline.com).
