GROUND FLOOR (TBS/Warner Bros.; W: Bill Lawrence & Greg Malins; D: Gail Mancuso) - Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect) has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about the "Romeo and Juliet"-esque courtship of Harvard grad Brody (Skylar Astin) and maintenance supervisor Jennifer (Briga Heelan) who work at the same office. She'll play Tori, "a sexy co-worker of Jennifer's who hits the clubs at night and catches up on her sleep at work." James Earl, John C. McGinley, Rene Gube and Rory Scovel also star.

WHITEY (History, New!) - David Koechner ("The Office") is set to topline a comedy pilot for the cable channel about Guy "Whitey" White, "a bright, conservative and frustrated guy in his 40s who is struggling to understand the changing values of a country in a world that has forever gone with the wind." Leslie Greif's Thinkfactory Media is behind the project, which is currently searching for a writer. It's understood the half-hour is being developed for the entire A+E Networks umbrella however is likely earmarked for History.

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Nastaran Dibai won't return as showrunner of "Malibu Country" should ABC renew the series for a second season (Deadline.com); "How I Met Your Mother" executive producer Stephen Lloyd has signed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television where he'll continue on the show's upcoming final season as well as join fellow studio-based "Modern Family" (Deadline.com); Laurie Zaks will succeed Maria Crenna as the head of television for the ABC Studios-based Mandeville Films (Deadline.com); Marilu Henner has booked a three-episode arc on "The Glades" as Jim's (Matt Passmore) mother (Deadline.com); and Arnold Vosloo is bound for the season finale of "Elementary" as "a Greek shipping magnate with a criminal past whom Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) believes is in league with the mysterious Moriarty" (Deadline.com).
