BROTHERHOOD (CBS, New!) - Michael Borkow ("Friends") is looking to import the U.K. comedy of the same name, which "follows two brothers who find their lives turned upside down when they have to move in together to raise their 10-year-old brother." CBS Television Studios and Big Talk Productions are behind the half-hour, which will also see LL Cool J, Kenton Allen and Matthew Justice among the executive producers. (Variety.com)
CORMORAN STRIKE (HBO) - The pay channel has acquired the broadcast rights to the U.K. series, which is based on J.K. Rowling's bestselling crime novels, written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. (Deadline.com)
EVIDENCE ROOM, THE (NBC, New!) - John Glenn ("Allegiance") is back in business with the Peacock for a new drama about the Evidence Room, "a secure area in a police station where evidence and seized property is stored. The items in the room will serve as engine for the stories to tackle a wide array of crimes and criminals. But the series' real focus will be the characters and how their involvement in the investigation will bond them and reveal their individual truths, solving the mystery, who is Lucy Zephs?" Universal Television-based John Glenn Entertainment is behind the hour, which has a put pilot commitment, with Perfect Storm Entertainment's Justin Lin and Danielle Woodrow also executive producing. JOHN COREY (ABC, New!) - Jason Richman ("Detroit 1-8-7") is developing a small screen take on best-selling author Nelson DeMille's most popular protagonists, John Corey: "the brash, quick-witted, and cocky NYPD homicide detective set in today's social environment." Sony Pictures Television is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. Mace Neufeld, Davis Entertainment's John Davis and John Fox will also executive produce with David Caplan serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
MATING (Showtime) - Emma Duncan has been cast in the comedy pilot as Katie, "Jay's (Taran Killam) ex-wife, his first and only love who he married after graduation but now feels she's outgrown him." (Deadline.com)
SHERLOCK (PBS) - The show's much-ballyhooed fourth season will kick off in the U.S. and the U.K. on January 1 with its debut installment "The Six Thatchers." (Deadline.com)
STAR TREK: DISCOVERY (CBS) - Bryan Fuller has opted to step down as showrunner of the upcoming series due to his production responsibilities on two other projects, "American Gods" at Starz and "Amazing Stories" for NBC. Fellow executive producers Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts will take over the day-to-day supervision with Fuller remaining as an executive producer. Akiva Goldsman is also expected to join "Discovery" in a top creative role. (Variety.com)
UNTITLED MATTHEW WEINER PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Matthew Weiner ("Mad Men") has booked an eight-episode straight-to-series order from the streaming service valued at $70 million. The untitled series is reportedly a "contemporary anthology set in multiple locations worldwide." The Weinstein Company is also on board to co-produce with Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER (Netflix) - Skyler Gisondo is bound for the latest installment of the series. He'll play Jeremy "Deegs" Deegenstein, "a junior counselor and the coolest guy in camp. He's constantly the center of attention with his show-offy antics." (Deadline.com)
