KILLING PATTON (NGC) - The cable channel has scrapped the latest installment in Bill O'Reilly's book series. "It was in development for a couple of years and it was difficult project to crack creatively," the network said in a statement. NASHVILLE (CMT) - Katrina Norman will recur on the current season as Polly, "a stunning, authentic and confident road manager for a popular musician." (Deadline.com)

Britt and Jennifer Ferrin are set as the principals in the off-cycle drama pilot, which begins as a character-driven government conspiracy thriller and morphs into a post-apocalyptic saga with vampires. The series spans over a century and focuses on a young girl named Amy Bellafonte (Sidney) who must save the human race. Gossellaar stars as Brad Wolgast, an FBI agent assigned to escort Amy to Project Noah, "a secret, government-funded, medical research facility in Colorado, where a drug is being tested that turns people into lethal killing machines but also unleashes psychic abilities." "Sarah (Ferrin), Peter (Britt) and Alicia (Rodriguez) fight to stop the infection that threatens mankind; Howey plays Shauna, a convict used as a test subject in Project Noah." Filming begins this month in Atlanta. (Deadline.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Skeet Ulrich's F.P. Jones, the father of Jughead (Cole Sprouse), has been named a series regular for season two. (Deadline.com)
TODAY WILL BE DIFFERENT (HBO, New!) - Julia Roberts is set to star in a limited series adaptation of Maria Semple's bestselling novel, about Eleanor Flood (Roberts), "who wakes up determined to be her best self, but then life happens. Taking place over a single day, it's described as a rollicking portrait of one woman's fumbling but valiant attempt to navigate the knotty perils and sly grace of modern life." Semple herself is penning the project with Red Om Films' Roberts and Annapurna Television's Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
