Said half-hour, from the ABC Studios' new low-cost division, follows five different characters (all played by Sami) whose lives intersect - "an aging cheerleader, an immigrant taxi driver, a closeted lesbian gym instructor, a woman fostering impoverished artists, and a homeless girl who finds and adopts a baby." Taika Waititi (MTV's "The Inbetweeners") is on board to direct from a script by Sami with Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Fumes' Carthew Neal also serving as executive producers. Production is expected to begin later this year. (Deadline.com)
