Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!
100 QUESTIONS (NBC) - Christopher Moynihan, the creator/co-star of the short-lived NBC comedy, has inked a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios. The pact calls for him to develop new series projects at the studio, which he'll likewise star in and executive produce alongside Tagline Pictures. No financial details were given.
101 WAYS TO LEAVE A GAME SHOW (ABC, New!) - Endemol USA ("Wipeout") has landed a pilot order from the Alphabet for a game show in which contestants answer questions under the threat of literally being ejected. Among the potential vehicles: being shot out of a cannon or speeding down a zipline. Matt Kunitz is executive producing the project, the format of which has already been sold internationally. Production on the pilot is set to begin this summer in Argentina with a yet-to-be-determined host.
THE CAPE (NBC) - Vinnie Jones, who guest-starred on the pilot, has been upped to series regular. There he'll continue on as Scales, "a frightening man with a freakish skin condition that gives him the appearance of green and gold scales." The news marks Jones first weekly TV series role.
CASTLE (ABC) - David Amann ("Three Rivers") has joined the police drama as an executive producer. There he'll help fill the void left by departing co-showrunner Rene Echevarria. Creator Andrew Marlowe remains on board in said capacity.
GIULIANA & BILL (Style) - The cable channel has greenlit a third season of the docusoap, which follows the life of E! personality Giuliana Rancic and her husband, "The Apprentice" alum Bill. It's not clear if the new season will roll out this fall or in early 2011. The series wrapped its second season with the network's most-watched telecast ever among women 18-49.
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Sarah Drew is the latest recurring player to earn series regular status on the veteran drama. Drew, who also starred in the Shonda Rhimes-produced pilot "Inside the Box" last season, joins Jesse Williams, whose promotion was announced yesterday.
HAWAII FIVE-O (CBS) - Brad Turner ("24") has joined the staff of the upcoming Eye drama. He'll serve as a co-executive producer/in-house director on the series, a role similar to his duties on the recently-wrapped FOX drama. Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Peter Lenkov are the executive producers with Paul Zbyszewski likewise serving as a co-executive producer.
LIE TO ME (FOX) - Alex Cary has been upped to executive producer on the series, where he'll serve as co-showrunner alongside David Graziano, Dan Sackheim and Vahan Moosekian. His promotion comes as the result of a two-year overall deal the writer/producer has inked with 20th Century Fox Television. Said quartet is taking over for departing shepherd Shawn Ryan, who ran its sophomore season.
RIDE-ALONG (FOX) - Lesli Linka Glatter ("Mad Men") has signed onto the midseason drama as a co-executive producer. There she'll serve as the resident director alongside creator Shawn Ryan. The pair previously worked together on "Lie to Me," where Glatter helmed two episodes.
UNTITLED CRIMINAL MINDS SPIN-OFF PROJECT (CBS) - Andrew Bernstein ("Mercy") is the latest addition to the "Criminal Minds" spin-off. He'll serve as a co-executive producer on the untitled series, where he'll helm several episodes. Chris Mundy, Deborah Spera, Edward Allen Bernero and Mark Gordon are the executive producers.
