DESCRIPTION:
(from Netflix's press release, January 2026) Filming for the next Netflix series is starting soon - a new adaptation of Maria Dąbrowska's novel Nights & Days, directed by Kamila Tarabura. The series will present viewers with the four seasons of Barbara and Bogumił Niechcic's relationship, serving up a timeless story of their complicated feelings. Above all, however, it will be a portrait of a woman - unpredictable and full of many contradictions. The series Nights & Days, set at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, is an extremely relevant story, focused on the daily life of the Niechcic marriage - their ups and downs, small and great dilemmas, or desires and longing for what has been lost. Romantic Barbara and pragmatic Bogumił are characters who, through their differences and distinct language of love, can become a mirror for contemporary relationships, showing universal conflicts and dilemmas that have accompanied us for generations. |
