Shudder and AMC Announce Greenlight of Untitled Black Horror Anthology
The project will feature new work from both established and emerging talents, expanding on a legacy of Black genre filmmaking whose first hundred years was explored in Shudder's critically acclaimed 2019 documentary, "Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror."

(from AMC Networks' press release, February 2021) AMC and Shudder, AMC Networks' premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, announced today the greenlight of the scripted Untitled Black Horror Anthology showcasing stories of Black horror from Black directors and screenwriters. The anthology is set to debut later this year on Shudder and AMC+, the company's premium streaming bundle, followed by a premiere on AMC - a successful windowing strategy previously implemented for the streamer's hit original series Creepshow. The Untitled Black Horror Anthology will feature new work from both established and emerging talents, expanding on a legacy of Black genre filmmaking whose first hundred years was explored in Shudder's critically acclaimed 2019 documentary, Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror.
