(from Lifetime's press release, September 2025) Set to premiere Saturday, November 22 at 8/7c as part of the network's Love of a Lifetime November romance movie slate, Toni Braxton's He Wasn't Man Enough, stars Braxton alongside NAACP Image Award nominee Essence Atkins (The Noel Diaries, First Wives Club) and Emmy(R) nominee Yvette Nicole Brown (Community, The Mayor). Braxton plays bestselling author Mel Montgomery, whose world unravels when she discovers her boyfriend Richard (Thomas Cadrot, The Night Agent) has been deceiving her. When Mel learns Richard is now engaged to her estranged college friend Monica (Atkins), the two women, with the help of Mel's loyal best friend Candy (Brown), set aside old wounds to stand together. What begins as betrayal becomes a story of resilience and solidarity - proving Richard picked the wrong trio to mess with.
