DESCRIPTION:
(from Lifetime's press release, September 2025) At age eight, Alice spent four days at the mercy of The Strigoi, a serial killer who would kidnap children from their family homes in the dead of night, never to be seen again. The last suspected victim of the Strigoi was never found, and no one was ever convicted with his crimes. Alice was the only child to escape to tell the tale, leaving authorities to wonder if the Strigoi was real at all. In the years since her abduction, Alice has managed to become a budding novelist, getting a small amount of press on her third book, this time telling the story of her own experience. Just when all is going well, a kidnapper takes her sister and then reveals himself to be the Strigoi. In the final days of his battle with cancer, he's decided he wants to set the record straight.
