DESCRIPTION:
(from LMN's press release, February 2026) When Mel, a newly divorced, single mom, and dentist, buys a small-town clinic to start a new life, she finds a warm welcome in Ruth, a beloved baker and neighbor with a tragic past. But when Mel’s 12-year-old daughter Abby goes missing, Mel uncovers Ruth’s horrifying secret: a few times over the years, she has abducted children using laced baked goods, and imprisoned them in her basement, believing she’s saving them from neglectful parents.
