Big Brother 8 Thursday Live Eviction Edition Notches Best Viewer and Adult 25-54 Deliveries on Any Night This Summer

"Big Brother 8 Thursday" Posts Across-the-Board Week-to Week Increases

CBS Wins Thursday in Viewers and Key Demographics

CBS's live Thursday eviction episode of BIG BROTHER 8 delivered more than eight million viewers, the largest audience for the summer series on any night this summer while also hitting a high in adults 25-54, according to preliminary Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for Aug. 9.

BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY was first in viewers (8.03m), adults 25-54 (3.5/11), adults 18-49 (3.0/10), tied for first in households (5.2/09, with FOX's tentative delivery) and second in adults 18-34 (2.4/09).

Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY is up +13% in households (from 4.6/09) and adults 25-54 (from 3.1/10), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/10), +14% in adults 18-34 (from 2.1/08) and added almost 1 million viewers (from 7.09m, +940,000 viewers, +13%).

This is BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY's best delivery this season. This is the best households, viewers and adults 25-54 delivery of any night of BIG BROTHER this summer, matches the best adults 18-49 delivery and is the 2nd best adults 18-34 performance.

CSI (R) won its time slot in households (6.8/12), viewers (10.05m), adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and second in adults 18-49 (2.7/08, -0.1 behind FOX's tentative football delivery).

WITHOUT A TRACE (R) won its time slot in households (6.5/12), viewers (9.34m), adults 25-54 (3.2/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/08).

For the night, CBS was first in households (6.2/11), viewers (9.14m), adults 25-54 (3.4/10) and tied for first with FOX's tentative football delivery in adults 18-49 (2.7/09).

Final Thursday ratings will be available this afternoon.
