CBS'S "BIG BROTHER 8" SUNDAY EDITION CONTINUES RATINGS MOMENTUM HITTING ITS BEST VIEWER DELIVERY ON ANY NIGHT FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK

"Big Brother 8" Places First In Its Time Period In Viewers and Key Demographics

Saturday's Encore Presentation of "Power of 10" Places First in Viewers and Key Demographics Delivering CBS's Best Demos in the Time Period Since March and Largest Viewer Delivery Since June

CBS's BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY edition averaged 8.17 million viewers, the best delivery in viewers for the series on any night this summer, according to preliminary Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for Aug. 12.

This marks the second consecutive Sunday that BIG BROTHER 8 has achieved a record viewer delivery this summer.

Editors Note: CBS's primetime lineup was delayed by 11 minutes due to PGA overrun and all ratings are preliminary and subject to change.

From 8:00-9:00 PM, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY 8 was first in households (5.2/09), viewers (8.17m), adults 25-54 (3.3/09), adults 18-49 (2.8/09) and second in adults 18-34 (2.0/07). Compared to last Sunday, BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY was up +11% in households (from 4.7/09), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.1/09), remained unchanged in adults 18-49 (2.8/09) and added +650,000 viewers (from 7.52m, +9%).

For the night, CBS was first in households (5.5/10), viewers (8.33m), adults 25-54 (2.7/08) and adults 18-49 (2.2/07).

On Saturday, an encore presentation of POWER OF 10 ENCORE (S) (R) in which Jamie Sadler, a 19-year-old pre-med student from Montclair, N.J., became the youngest quiz/game show millionaire in network television history, was first in households (3.4/07), viewers (5.26m), adults 25-54 (2.0/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/07).

These are CBS's highest adult 18-49 and adult 25-54 ratings in the Saturday (8:00-9:00 PM) time period since March 31 (the Networks coverage of the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament) and best viewer delivery since June 30.

Final ratings for Saturday and Sunday will be available on Tuesday.
