JOSH GROBAN TO PERFORM TELEVISION'S GREATEST THEME SONGS LIVE ON "THE 60TH PRIMETIME EMMY(R) AWARDS," SEPTEMBER 21 ON ABC

Josh Groban, who recorded last year's No. 1-selling CD, will perform a once in a lifetime medley of more than 25 of television's most memorable themes on "The 60th Primetime Emmy(R) Awards," airing live, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC.

"In honor of the Emmy Awards' 60th Anniversary, Josh's medley will touch on some of television's most resonant theme songs including from "Friends," "The Simpsons," "The Brady Bunch" and many more -- the actual full list of show titles is being kept a secret until the show. This will truly be an unforgettable performance," said Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich.

Groban, a multi-platinum classical pop singer, has had an extraordinarily busy summer. After releasing his latest live CD/DVD, "Awake Live," in May, he appeared as The Russian in a 21st-anniversary concert performance of the cult musical "Chess" at London's Royal Albert Hall. In June he made a very special appearance at the Nelson Mandela 90th Birthday Celebration concert in London's Hyde Park, performing his songs "Weeping" and "Machine" before more than 46,000 people. Also over the summer, he recorded a duet with legendary operatic tenor Plcido Domingo entitled "La Tua Semplicit," which will be featured on Domingo's upcoming album. In addition Groban recorded a version of "La Bohme" with beloved French singer Charles Aznavour. Their duet will appear on the 84-year-old singer-songwriter's upcoming new album.

An internationally renowned performer who has sold more than 23 million albums worldwide, Groban has thrilled a legion of devoted fans with his flawless baritone and extraordinary stage presence. The 27-year-old Los Angeles native first broke through in 2001 with his self-titled double-platinum debut, followed by 2003's multi-platinum "Closer," featuring the smash hit, "You Raise Me Up," and 2006's double-platinum "Awake." In 2007 the Grammy-nominated star became the best-selling recording artist of the year thanks to sales of "Awake" and his blockbuster Christmas album, "Noel" the best-selling album of 2007. Groban has recently released his third live DVD, entitled "Awake Live." Filmed in front of 15,000 fans at Salt Lake City's Energy Solutions Arena during Groban's 81-city "Awake World Tour," the DVD includes electrifying versions of his hit singles, "You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)," "February Song" and "Awake."
