THE DOCTORS HITS ITS HIGHEST RATINGS YET

Grows 33% From Its September Premiere

(November 11, 2008) - The syndicated medical talk show THE DOCTORS hit its highest ratings yet in the overnights yesterday, Monday, November 10, with a 2.0 rating/6 share. THE DOCTORS has grown 33% since its 1.5/4 premiere in September and now outrates such established talk shows as "Jerry Springer," "Tyra Banks," "The Morning Show With Mike & Juliet," and "Martha Stewart" in the national ratings.

Yesterday, THE DOCTORS was up 11% over its average lead-in (1.8/5) and also increased 11% over its year-ago time period average, a 1.8/5 for November 2007. In addition, THE DOCTORS either won or finished second in its time slot in 20 of the 56 metered markets and was the highest rated of all the new first-run strips by a margin of 43% over its nearest rookie rival, "Deal Or No Deal," at a 1.4/3.

On THE DOCTORS episode which aired yesterday, the doctors revealed how to spot the warning signs of teens that have tried or plan on trying illegal drugs, including Salvia, a hallucinogenic herb that is legal in 38 states and is sweeping the nation. In order to show the detrimental effects of Salvia, THE DOCTORS' own researcher inhaled the substance live while hooked up to diagnostic equipment. THE DOCTORS, taped in front of a live audience in Hollywood, features four top practicing professionals, each with a different specialty - ER physician (and former ABC "Bachelor" in Paris) Dr. Travis Stork; obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Lisa Masterson; plastic surgeon and reconstructive surgery expert Dr. Andrew Ordon; and pediatrician Dr. James Sears. The series is produced by Stage 29 Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Jay McGraw, Carla Pennington and Dr. Phil McGraw are executive producers. CBS Television Distribution is the preeminent company in worldwide television syndication. CTD produces or distributes 11 first-run series and holds the largest internationally distributed television library at 70,000 hours strong. CTD is a unit of CBS Corp.
