ALL THE WAY (HBO, New!) - Robert Schenkkan's Tony-winning play - "a behind-the-scenes look at President Lyndon Johnson's tumultuous first year in office as he takes the oath in the wake of President Kennedy's assassination, navigates the escalation of the Vietnam War, and balances opposing interests to launch his landmark civil rights bill and win election to his first full presidential term" - is heading to the small screen via the pay channel. Bryan Cranston, who likewise took home a Tony, will reprise his role and executive produce alongside Schenkkan, Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey with James Degus co-executive producing via their respective companies, Amblin Television, Tale Told Productions and Moon Shot Entertainment. (Deadline.com)

GALYNTINE (AMC; W: Jason Cahill; D: Greg Nicotero) - James Hoare and Alycia Debnam-Carey are the latest additions to the drama pilot, which takes place at a time after a cataclysmic technology-induced disaster has resulted in a new society that has eschewed any form of technology. Hoare will play Aethys, "an apprentice blacksmith in the colony who has a gnawing restlessness and curiosity that lead him to a life-changing discovery"; while Debnam-Carey is set as Essyn, "Aeuthys' sister and a doctor in training who is also the sole interitor of her family's property, holding the future of many colonists in her hands." Alex Russell, Catherine Dent, Charlotte D'Ambroise, Peter Fonda and Steven Brand also star. (Deadline.com)

MARVEL'S DAREDEVIL (Netflix/ABC Studios; W/D: Drew Goddard) - Peter Shinkoda ("Falling Skies") has boarded the upcoming drama, which stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, who fights against injustice by day as a lawyer and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City. He'll play Hachiro, details of which weren't given. Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson and Vincent D'Onofrio also star. (Deadline.com)

POWERS (PSN/Sony; W: Charlie Huston; D: David Slade) - Susan Heyward, Max Fowler and Adam Godley are the first to be cast in the series, based on Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming's comic of the same name, about "two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to protect humans like us and investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities." Heyward will play the aforementioned Deena with Fowler as Krispin Stockley, "the son of Walker's murdered partner, a disaffected teen still struggling with the death of his father at the hand of a rogue Power which starts him on a dark journey that will warp him both physically and emotionally"; and Godley as Captain Cross, "the solid steel in a frail frame captain of the Powers division, bookish, respectful and loyal but may harbor a secret agenda that could lead his beloved department into a full-fledged conspiracy." Lucy Punch and Charles S. Dutton originated the former and latter roles in its FX incarnation. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Robert Forster will appear in two episodes of FOX's "Backstrom" as Everett's dad (Rainn Wilson), Sheriff Blue Backstrom, "a local legend who's gained notoriety through his tough, smart, pitiless, yet likable disposition" (Deadline.com); Amanda Setton will recur on "Hawaii Five-0" as Max's (Masi Oka) new trainee, Dr. Mindy Shaw, "a smart young woman who takes initiative and turns in impressive work" (TVGuide.com); and Emily C. Chang is the latest actor bound for "The Vampire Diaries" as Ivy, "the quintessential girl next door with an unexpected wild side" (THR.com).
